I have deleted the content of this post as it was inappropriate for this forum. I know it will cause some confusion for those who are viewing this thread for the first time. To paraphase, I quoted some hostile comments Dyna had posted on another forum. My apologies. edited by bradj on April 29, 2004 |

Post the one where he wants to light his bike on fire and drop it on the factory from a helicopter.

LOL...Never denied that other people have had problems with their Buells. I met Greg down at Deal's Gap - the X1 was in the back of a truck and he was bitching up a storm. I would have been, too. Have I just been lucky with my Buells? I don't really think so - and that's where we differ in opinion. Sure plenty of people have had problems with their XBs and Blasts. Not me. Even so, the majority of those problems exhibited are much, much less severe than what happened to Greg and other tuber Buellers (quite a few, apparently, but I don't post on SACBorg). Would I buy another Buell? Yes, especially if they continue to do as well as the two I already have. Do I blame Greg or anyone else who's gone through the crap they have for never wanting to see another one in their garage? Hell no. And if he show's up to a BRAG event I'm at riding a Yamandakawazuki whatever...I'll ask if he wants to go for a ride. |

I agree with Bomber....Gregg is a great guy in person. He just can be a real a@@ on the web. Most of us have different personalities to suit the situation. Me....most people in my "day-to-day" life (ie: work) think I'm a very conservative business person. But then they find out I ride a Buell (or two ), listen to Kid Rock and dig adventure sports (steep & deep skiing, rock climbing, etc). It's quite a suprise to most of them. Okay...I'm outta here. Been working 10 straight days; the sun is shining; it's finally warm outside......yup, off to carve some corners |

Dyna, Question My friend. If you don't own a Buell, and really don't like the company that builds them, Why do you hang around the Buell board. I'm not looking for a word war, just wondering. If I had your feelings, I would be so far gone from the whole Buell world...what gives? |

#1. Because I made a quite a few friends who i ride with on a regular basis. #2. I dont hate Buells but I do hate my X1, I actually like the bikes & have a ball on them. Its the politics of the mothership I cant stand. And I wish they would step up to the plate & do the right thing. Thats it. |

I had quite a few problems with my X1 too, but i still think the X1`S were one of the best looking bikes made. |

Technically, he does own a Buell. Yeah, and a payment book too! Sure am glad I got an X1 that works as the inverse would be terribly traumatic. |

Dyna, If all is settled to your satisfaction. Will you still be a Buell owner? Posting what you did on the other board shows me two things. 1)You know what goes where. 2)You are honest.

I have also edited what I felt were the more inflammatory comments on this post. Once again...my apologies. ............................................... Yes, you have tried to help people here and those that know you seem to think you are a good person. I guess in your mind that mitigates referring to those who enjoy their Buells, are enthusiastic about them, and participate in this forum as "sheep" and ridiculing them on Sacborg. That's for others to decide. Maybe no one cares. I just got tired of your bullsh*t and called you on it. I hope you get your problems solved...really. And I honestly hope you don't lose any money in the process. However, any first year law student or competent paralegal would strongly caution you about making public statements regarding your litigation. Perhaps it wouldn't have made any difference, but I am inclined to think that had you been a bit more discrete, you might have had better luck reaching an amicable settlement with H-D/Buell. You've pretty much trashed any possibility of that with your blow by blow account of your misfortunes on the forums. Well...420's gone [I don't know what the hell he was talking about anyway]. You can rag on me a while, or you can return to being a nice guy here while spewing your pablum over at the Borg...doesn't make any difference to me. Hell I sold my XB and bought a Duc...I don't belong here anyway.... edited by bradj on April 28, 2004 edited by bradj on April 29, 2004 |

Dyna...it don't mean nothin'...it's just the internet and it's a game people play...sometimes it gets a little rough. We're lucky we can sit our asses down in front of a computer screen and talk sh*t in varying degrees with a reasonable expectation that we're not going to get blown up at random...some don't have that luxury these days. As a poignant counterpoint to our little b*tchfest, I opened a thank you card from TedK this evening...made me feel like a d*ckhead for poisoning the waters here, so to speak. I just don't have it in me to be a real troll...man I try, but I'm just not mean enough and the folks here are just too damn nice. I sold the XB9SL recently but we still have the Blast. Oddly, one of the biggest concerns I had when I sold it was that I would no longer be a part of this community. Even though I'm swimming in different waters now [ as a Duc ] I'm still defensive about the peeps here and Buells in general, even though I have some questions and concerns regarding the XB's stability under certain operating conditions. I'm just not knowledgeable nor experienced enough to press the issue. Like I said...I really hope you get things settled to your satisfaction. Seems to me it would be worth it to the MoCo to buy your bike if you would agree to stop posting about your negative experiences. That seems like a reasonable deal to me, but they probably see it as intimidation on your part, so they will respond in kind with the delay tactics....another game but with more significant economic consequences. Quoting Todd Rundgren..... "It's only just a song...pay me no mind. " What do I know?...two Goldwings passed me on my Duc last weekend. There's more to the story, but perhaps that's why I was on the rag. Hopefully out of here on a positive note.... |

Bradj...You are being a bit of a butthead. Relax and just drop it. If you knew Dyna you would understand. I just pray that you never experience what he has and still is going through. Speaking of praying...Perhaps this is the reason the Catholic's invented Confession. You know, besides another source of income it provides someone to talk to without going public. Well, perhaps SacBorg was a form of confession (read: release) for our friend. LOL Now don't be dis'n me over that comment because I am a Catholic and a damn good one. Thanks for your understanding concerning this matter. |

It's called humor, son...an [apparently] unsuccessful attempt to diffuse an otherwise tense situation by doing something ridiculous or sarcastic...hence the Happy Bunny "You smell like butt" thing....the emoticon was supposed to be your reinforcing clue that I was joking. Apparently you were..... clueless in this particular instance. You are being a bit of a butthead. Relax and just drop it. If you knew Me you would understand.... Where have I heard that before? *Disclaimer for the sarcastically challenged: In no way was this post an intentional affront to anyone's level of intelligence or an expression of the author's intention to further engage in a flame war on any subject. Any offense taken by a an actual person or internet persona is purely coincidental. |

This has been one of the most interesting weeks on the badweb since I've come aboard! Although I've learned nothing about my bike it has been a unique look at the human condition. I think everybody has been off the road too long 'cuz of winter. It's good to see that Brad and Dyna could kiss and make up...life's just too damn short to take all this nonsense seriously. |

Brad, You were out of line bringing a SacBORG post over here and creating an entire topic serving to denigrate our friend Dyna. If I had seen it earlier, I would have asked you to remove it. You should also know that it is most often those with an inferiority complex who seek to denigrate others as a way of proving themselves superior. It doesn't work. If you have personal issues with someone online, take them off the board. The whole board is taking a dive in its demeanor lately. I'll be working hard to combat that. Please recall the terms to which you agreed when joining this band of online Buell enthusiasts...
quote:By registering for participation in this Buell enthusiasts' discussion board you hereby agree that you will not post profane language nor will you engage in personal attacks or in derision of other users of the board. You agree to treat with respect and courtesy all members of this online Buell enthusiasts' community. You also agree to abide by custodian/admin requests concerning the content and decorum of your participation on the board. Basically, you agree to treat others as you would expect to be treated; post as if you were speaking face to face. In all cases avoid flame wars and hateful content. Those seeking to sew disharmony and malcontent are not welcome at BadWeatherBikers.com. So there you have it. A few malcontent jerks of late instigated the above policy making. If you are cool with it all then... Buells ROCK! Welcome, and come on in and say hello!

I've never met Dyna, but I like him. If anyone looks at his technical responses to motorcycle related questions they'll see that he's a well rounded 'Nut.' I had a very similar issue with a Dodge minivan about 10 years ago. World's biggest piece of junk. It took three years (making payments & insurance on it)while it sat at the local Dodge dealer. After two lawyers, the Lemon Law, factory arbitrator (what a joke that was,) I finally received relief -- a brand new Mark III conversion van. Drove that thing straight to Earnhardt's and got me a Suburban. When Joe Blow, or Dyna, or any of us, starts battling BIG corporate America the odds are stacked firmly against us. It would be a very boring world if we all came out of the same cookie cutter. Greg |

Dear Admin [or whom it may concern]: In the interest of preserving the sense of community here I will be glad to edit or delete the post in its entirety, in spite of your unqualified assumptions regarding my psychology. You certainly don't need my permission to delete the entire thread if you wish. Perhaps that would be a better solution for all concerned. My intent with the original post was to expose what I perceived as some hypocrisy expressed by a member who has assumed a position of respect on this board. I will continue to believe that Dyna was being hypocritical and duplicitous with his comments and demeanor on the two forums. However, the manner in which I challenged him was inappropriate and "out of line" as you put it. It may be too late, but I'll go back and edit the posts. Unfortunately, it will make for some confusing reading on the thread. If others who have posted here don't mind, just delete the whole thing and hopefully folks will forget it ever happened. I'm sorry for throwing grenades in the swimming hole. |
