Just got off the phone to Matt @ Trojan-Horse here in the UK,he is expecting a delivery of Front "wave" rotors for XB's made by the Italian company "Braking" I reckon it'll be a rather neat addition to my rear Razor rotor.

Boulder - Agreed. Low unsprung weight is the king : ). I believe it was Hals that said they don't give up any outright stopping power with the ZTL, but that they may have been up against a fade issue on the race track. I think that would be (and probably already is) solved by different material though.

I wonder if there's enough weight savings with Ti rotors to make it feasible to go to a dual ZTL setup? That would be real nice if you could do that and still maintain the low weight of the ZTL setup. Maybe some sort of light weight calipers would be required as well. It would be an extremely touchy brake setup though. The initial bite of the ZTL system as it is kicks ass...

I wonder about Carbon Fiber rotors? Don't most really high profile race cars use CF rotors? I think they glow at a lower temp too : ). That would be really cool to see : ).

yeah problems with carbon is they they're hydrophilic (soak water) so no good in wet and have to be HOT before they're worth anything for stopping, so only useful at the track when warmed up.

Does someone make a ti rotor, and does it actually work? never heard of ti in that application, although admittedly never looked for it either.

I know someone makes a ti rear rotor... I had a friend that worked a plasma cutter at Ruger who cut ti rotors for other companies...

Glitch the "Braking" wave rotor is cheaper than the OE replacement from Buell I think Matt does them for £107GBP + shipping (the original is about £170 here in the UK).
Matt also sells the Razor Rotor kits aswell

Fdl3, the front XB rotors have been know to warp under extreme conditions,hopefully the "Braking" version will aid cooling,thus prevent warpage + it's looks the mutts.

No! unfortunatly a front Razor version is not avalible (Yet!) but discussions are on going with a UK brake manufacturing company about the possibility of having a XB front version made up.

The wave front rotors should make the front run cooler than the stock setup, whilst at the same time offering better braking performance. They should be used with sintered pads, unless you want to change pads every couple of hundred miles!

We found when racing last year that we would run out of brakes due to overheating in around 5 laps on our British short circuits. The answer was the radial Brembo kit and that absolutely transformed the bike!

There is a seperate kit available for the Tube framers although you would probably have to convert to electonic speedo drive I think.

Well my front "wave" rotor has turned-up & been fitted.I have'nt had a chance to realy use it yet as i'm letting it bed in slowly,Initially if feels good,works well and.......I think it looks prettier than the OE version + it makes a loverly sound when braking,bit like BBBBBBrrrrrrr.

I do have some photo's of the disc fitted,anyone fancy reducing them in size so they can be posted up as I can't figure out my editing software. Or you can e-mail me directly and I'll send them by return.
