Please... Someone congratulate me! Finally bought an XB9S (Black). Got an outstanding deal in my opinion, $7414 out the door, after tax. Now, my '01 XL1200S has someone to keep it company. -------------------- 03 XB9S Black 01 XL1200S (in the process of changing this ones color)

You are a thief and you suck. Way to go. Will be interesting to hear your comparison of the two distant cousin V-Twins. |

Very good price there...dayuum. Harleys and Buells seem to make pretty good garage mates. |

I was hoping to do the same when I got mine....had to trade off the sporty to keep my wife happy. She didn't fall for "Well the sporty can be for you to learn on" speech! Congrats! You'll love it! |

...that's a pretty good price with tax in...up here in Canada I paid 13,500.00 (10,000+US), plus 945.00 (700+US)GST (we call it the "Gouge and Screw Tax)! Of course, I got the yellow 9S, which apparently is much faster than the black one (at least, that's what the salesman told me! But, really, it doesn't matter what you paid...its the stupid grin you can't wipe off your face the first time you ride it that counts. Best damn bike I ever owned! ENJOY!} |

Now you're just trying to make me sick! I paid $10,600 out the door last year for my black XB9S. Oh well, those 5500 miles have been worth it. I am really "jonesing" to get out this spring. Congratulations! DBird |

Bubba, Remember, I'm the guy from Terre Haute. You post a lot on here, you musta forgot! Well, with 14 miles on her clock, I set out for a ride after work after gettin' all bundled up (40 degrees here). Made it to 16 miles on her clock when I lost tach and speedo. Headed for home and finally lost all electrical juice 1/2 mile from home. So, now it probably has 17 miles on her after pushing her the rest of the way home. All fuses were good. Pulled battery and is now on a charger and will hope this fixes the problem. The salesman told me that this battery was out of an XB12? because mine was dead. So, i'm pretty sure that it was never put on a charger prior to delivery. Bubba and Dave and all you other dealership guys, what are the chances that the charger fixes my problem. One last question, on a full charge, how long should it take to go dead if there is a charging system problem? } |

I won't do any more work to it than this, if the charge doesn't work. I'll head back to the dealer. The only reason I've put this much effort into it is that it's over an hour drive each way. |

Cat yeah now I remember and yes I forgot and yes I post alot on here....way too much.... if it ain't the battery . could be a regulator. since it went dead while you were riding. like dave said take it back to them if the charge thingy don't work. |

My XB is fixed. Took it back to Mann's HD in Columbus, IN. They went right to work on it. The tech said there were 2 wires that come uncrimped at the voltage regulator. He soldered them back and all is well. Even gave me 2 t-shirts from the sales floor and removed a tire from my front Sportster wheel that I am gonna get powdercoated for FREE. 50 degrees, I goin' back out and ride. |

Glad they made it right. (Though I would bet dollars to donuts that it was not a case of "uncrimped at the voltage regulator" so much as "a voltage regulator that was not plugged in" or even "the ground wire from the voltage regulator was connected to the oil pressure light instead of the wire coming out under the cam cover" ). But regardless, they made it right. Good for them. |

Catabler: You'll never find better service than Mann's. I lived in Columbus for 10 years, bought 2 bikes from them. They serviced my S3T and my Sportster. They are great. I live in Ohio now and haven't found anyone near their good service. I still call their techs for help once in a while. Congrats on the new ride. Mark |
