Bubba,

No worry, she wasn't even mad, despite me being 90 minutes late. It turns out as soon as I told her I was going to visit another Buell dealer she knew I was going to stay much longer than planned. She's definitely a keeper. ; )

One question- Have you tried to jack the bike up with the drummer installed? I wasn't sure if the drummer was up to it since the internals have been changed.

so, if the inner airbox "seal" is the airbox cover, what's the official name of the airbox outer cover? since it would be a gas tank on a typical bike, what do we call it now?

As I see it you got an airbox lid, part of the actual airbox, and an airbox cover, the bit that looks like a fuel tank.

Ok, need clarification please.
Which is the airbox cover?
which is the intake cover?
Oh, wait. Nevermind. I think I figured it out.
The inner lid is the airbox cover and the outer is intake cover right?
It's too early, I should still be in bed.

Bads1,

What would give you the idea that I WOULDN'T start it in the house?

Hell yeah, I have started it!

That is why I am so anxious about getting some halfway decent days to ride. Cold I can deal with, but I don't want to risk it with chances for more snow.

I made an appointment to have the TPS reset next week, so I will be forced to at least spin 'er around the neighborhood.

In the Owner's Manual (page 67) it's like this:
Air Box Cover is over top of the
Air Cleaner Cover.

In the Service Manual (page 1-41, Section 1.15)it's like this:
Air Intake Assembly is over top of the
Air Box Cover.

Clear as Crystal now, right?

Oh yes, very crystal....I think. No,...wait! Ahhhhhhhh!

Awww nuts, my head just exploded

I think if I ever need these parts, I'll refer to them by part number and let the salesmen call them whatever they want.

I also think the owner's manual descriptions for the air box parts make the most sense.
