looking to buy my first bike and its hopefully gonna be a ULY. I'm curious about miles and what is too many or decent. I"m currently looking at 2006 with 19000 miles. Is that alright and what are you getting before its too many |

You may want to get a newer model as they changed a few things over the years to improve the bike. As far as Uly mileage goes, I would say that you're easily good for 50,000 miles if it's cared for. Check in the Big Bad and Dirty section. |

I wouldn't be afraid of that mileage, on a bike that has been well taken care of. My 2008 has 16,000+ and feels better than new. |

Yeah, I don't know what the high end of the mileage scale would be. My 09 Uly has 30,??? on it and is doing fine. |

I run an 05 XB12r, and have 18,5XX. It runs better than when I bought it with 52XX. I would not be afraid of that mileage. I use my bike for a daily commuter when its not winter. |

I got 55k and 12-15 track days out of mine before the front rod bearing went. It had been making noise for about 1 1/2-2 years that I thought was the transmission but ended up being the crank bearing according to the guy rebuilding it. I don't know if I'd buy another air cooled Buell again and would not have one as a daily driver but you're in Canada it might last you many years without any major issues. |
