For the first time ive got two motorcycles sitting in my garage..an 05 Buell xb9sx and an 08 Honda VTX 1800F ....is this considered a stable yet? lol am curious what other guys are riding and how they compare? The Buell is TONS of fun, loads of character...great on twisties...though a little hairy over 70mph (short wheelbase)The VTX is smooth, powerful and great for highway riding...two awesome bikes! |

though a little hairy over 70mph (short wheelbase) needs suspension set up properly. There, fixed that for ya Seriously though, I'll bet that's why it's a little hairy. No other street bikes as of yet, though I'm always looking. Dirt is the going theme right now. |

Well i don't know when or how you Florida guys perform annual maintenance. Here in New England i use the offseason Winter months. With multiple(4) bikes maintenance is very involved.I dread the upcoming months as i need two sets of timing belts done as well as the routine oils/fluids.And a PENSKE!! Wishin' i was a college perfeser so i could pay someone ELSE to maintain my machines |

The appropriate number of bikes to own is N+1 where N=the current number of bikes owned. Nels |

It can not be a stable until you have a YSR in the mix, the little 50 Honda is close, but not quite there. |

that little honda 50 was my very first motorcycle! i rode the hell out of it(imagine that) it got passed around the family for years then i rescued it back for my daughters first bike a couple years ago. its a little worse for wear after one of my cousins got ahold of it. he wrecks everything. but it still runs like a champ on the original drivetrain parts |

Hey some nice bikes there...Just set up the Suspension a couple days ago (first owner was a bit lighter) seems firmer and handles better now...the thing that gets me is the lack of ANYTING past the speedo out front...no biggie until im moving in the 80+ mph range, then its like riding a high speed unicycle.. can be a little unerving...hey thats me...I like VTX for high speed cruising, the buell for everything else.. |

The flying carpet sensation is what sold me on the Buell. All other bikes seem long and ungainly to me. |

Tim, more info on the blast in the XB frame? I love thumpers but the b'last never did it for me. Build a little power and loose a little weight and you could be on to something. |

Build a little power and loose a little weight and you could be on to something. Believe it or not the XBlast you see there weighs less than a Blast. |

Tim, more info on the blast in the XB frame? I love thumpers but the blast never did it for me. Build a little power and loose a little weight and you could be on to something. not alot of info right now. its just an xb suspension and frame with a blast motor shoved in it. its a project that had been going on down the road from me for a couple years and he wasnt going to be able to complete it, so it was either grab it or he was going to end up parting it out. we all know how it goes, sometimes life just gets in the way. mine is so it just sits in the shed waiting. had planned on projects this winter but lost the garage i had stuff in so until i have another shop things wait. ive got some really good plans for it... time and money...time and money. what points are you using to lift the Blue one with the hoist? a strap looped under the front of the frame behind the steering neck, and i believe a strap on each side of the rear subframe or foot peg mounts. cant remember which but either will work.} |
