Yesterday, I was getting the tools together to remove the front fairing, to do the connector mod to turn both lights on for brights. Turned on the key, put the switch on brights, and VIOLA! both lights were on. Did'nt have to remove a damn thing!!! My hat is off to whatever previous owner did this.

You ride a firebolt. They both should come on when you hit the brights.

For the record, you should thank Erik Buell for that mod.

God Bless you Gunut for making me feel better today. When I told my husband that I thought one of my headlights was not working on my 09 Lightning because they both didn't come on when the brights were on, he acted like I was a moron. Considering he rides a firebolt, seems like he'd realize where I'd seen that before!

just as an FYI...If you want to go faster you have to twist the handle that your right hand is gripping when your on the bike....
If your bike doesnt go any faster it means your holding the wrong handle. (dont worry we've all made THAT mistake when sitting on our Buell for the first time.)

But, wait, you're a Bears fan... Nevermind, that explains EVERYTHING : )

Why don't the Lightnings have that feature?

Because the Lightning headlights don't fade and dull to uselessness like the Firebolt headlights, I suspect...
