Great looking bike. I really wish Buell would offer the XBRR front end as a an optional fairing for the XBR's. |

K3xb, I don't know how much $$ you have for the project, but a ZTL2 front brake upgrade along with a dual piston caliper for the rear will help the brakes a lot. The entire kit is a direct bolt on. |

"In our opinion, if you don’t at least carry brake pads, levers and oil filters in stock for the machines you sell, then you have no business calling yourself a motorcycle dealer." ...and for so many more reasons... |

You don’t smash the mountain down with an XB-series Buell. Instead, you steal it a few pebbles at a time. this could be one of the coolest statements about a Buell i've ever heard! thanks for the great update. the bike looks awesome, and it sounds like you guys are starting to have some fun with "THE LUMP". sorry to hear you had to find out what it's like to be a Buell owner and find no parts at many of the dealers, the reason we rely on the great sponsors of BadWeb to get us our parts.

yeah, dealers suck.... wait, thats right i make sure we have those pads, levers, and a huge pile of pegs! just remember, its not all of them. my main problem is i cant seem to get the sponsorship deal pulled off. not for lack of trying though. but of course im also the dumby thats got the garage full of buells lol. |

Glad you guys like what we're up to. This project has really been a lot of fun so far and it's only just getting started. In defense of the good shops, my local dealer is Conrad's in Joliet. They've raced Buells for years. So far, the only thing I've had to wait for from them was the XBRR windscreen that they had to figure out how to order from Buell's racing department. (If they'd had one of those in stock I'd have passed out cold from the shock....) I'm sure if I'd gone there for pads they'd have had them on the shelf, but the race pads which I'd ordered from a race supplier were "Off backorder and on the way next day air," (yeah, right....) so I didn't ask Conrad's about stock pads. Conrad's is no doubt a committed Buell dealer, even though they must have 100 HDs on the floor compared to 10 Buells. Heck, how many shops do you even see that have one of each Buell model on display like Conrad's does? I'm sure there must be other shops like Conrad's. My beef is with shops that sell Buells like they're the Chinese mini-bikes you find at the auto parts store, good only for padding the margins and not worthy of after-sale support. Buells are fine motorcycles that deserve the respect and support of the dealers who sell them. (Message edited by k3xb on February 03, 2009) (Message edited by k3xb on February 03, 2009) |

This has been a great read. 4cammer, the 1125R fairing works great on XB's and you can use the stock triple and bars. Henry now has very nice headlight blanks available now, also. It's almost a bolt-on, too.

Heck, how many shops do you even see that have one of each Buell model on display like Conrad's does? Hals in New Berlin does Hals is another dealer that "Gets it". But they're also probably the most successful at racing Buells as well. With LOTS of help from Bilansky & Terry Galigan. |

Lookin' good Chris! Where do you have the forks in the triple trees? In the stock position or lowered? Thanks, Keith |

Hi Skully, Stock position thus far. We just got the Penske this week, so now we'll be able to go after the suspension setup with a vengeance at Barber. |

My firebolt at barber was by far some of the most fun I have had. Wish I could be there to watch, when you gonna be there? I might ride out. Good looking bike too! |
