so my wife picked up some traction pegs for me and i was just out installing them when i noticed they are the straight peg not the 1" drop like on my lightning. is this the only version of the traction peg available, because according to the parts catalog it's the right peg? it sucks to lose the 1" drop, but if i stick with them i'm gonna need to do something about the shifter. i really have to manipulate my foot to get under it as it sits right now. do the firebolts use the top hole on the case with the straight pegs or is the shifter just set at a steeper angle from the bottom hole. any pics would help! maybe it's time to go up to the top and do a little GP shift! thanks guys |

Align the shifter as YOU need it..That is why it is adjustable.... Maybe you can LEAN the bike over now with the extra inch you gained.. |

The shifter will adjust over an inch, it's the brake that will only go about a half inch. But you are in the base position so you should have no problem there either. |

Pretty sure there is no traction peg with the 1" drop as per lightning. Made the same mistake myself ordering a set - now they sit on the shelf brand new, never opened. |

LOL, you should try the Crossroads competition pegs, the ones with the giant death-trap-pit-spikes for grip. I think they actually raise your foot 1/4" above the mounting point. I REALLY wanted the extra grip, but man do I miss the lower position. ~SM |
