First off, is ridedirect.com a good company to buy tires from? They have the cheapest price and free shipping! Second, what is the stock cheese grater/tail section worth? I was going to sell my stock one or customize it, but I can't find any definite prices. I've seen some asking $50, some asking $100. |

I've been looking for one and seem to be going in that range (50-100) I've been looking for one to try to chop, but I just don't want to pay that much 'cuz I'll prolly f it up. But if you decide to sell it cheap send me a p.m. |

Ha, ha! See, If it ain't worth my while, then I'll try to make something unique. I saw one in the archive where the guy made sharp horns coming off the back. looked pretty cool. |

I buy my tires from them. No complaints at all. |

Thanks speedfreak, that's all I needed to know. 120/70/17 is the correct front tire size right? I could go outside and check, but it's all the way out there and it's locked. (Message edited by moosestang on September 20, 2008) |

I ordered the michelin pilot road 2's by the way. I hope they last as long as the stock tires and are good in the rain. All the reviews say they are the shiot. |

I have run the Pilot Roads (not the PR2) and the only thing negative that I noticed is that they took longer to warm up than the Conti's that I had been running. I think the biggest benefit over the SYNC's is that they will not flatspot as easily if you ride much highway. The reason I say this is that I was running SYNC's and my buddy was running Pilot Road version 1 and we did a couple of long trips and a LOT of highway riding. When done my tires looked like bricks and his were nice and round. |
