MV Agusta is supposedly coming out with a new 675 for '09 that will kick-ass!

Hell for Leathers writes, "According to Motociclismo, who commissioned this illustration, next year’s new 675cc, three-cylinder MV Agusta could make up to 140bhp while weighing as little as 160kg. While we think both figures are a little ambitious, they do highlight just how competitive the sports middleweight market is. In comparison, the Triumph Daytona 675 — a bike the new MV closely resembles in spec — makes 123bhp while weighing in at 165kg dry. Expect the MV Agusta 675 to make a little more power and weigh a little less thanks to more exotic materials, which will help account for a much higher price tag."

A 353lb bike with 140bhp and SEXY, Italian's!

I'm betting this will be a mostly independant venture. HD has given Buell wide range from what I see, and I doubt HD wants to end up back in the days of HD-badged golf carts...

Think to the future Badwebbers!

1. Improved distribution for both Buells and MV's
2. Might finally get a Buell dealership with Agusta's sitting across the store. How better to sell bikes when comparing sportbikes to sportbikes. Not sport bikes to cruisers!
3. We all have a bike we will always want to own. Mine is a MV F4. Always been in love with bike since its 750cc conception. Mv Agusta's have always blurred the lines between form vs. function. While Buell has always centered on the polished functions of a true sportbike. Not a bad stablemate and comparison for Buell.

I am all for the idea that one day you will be comparing a Brutale to a XB12SS at a dealership. Maybe HDI will finally give the Buell Buyers the service they deserve, if the sportbikes become a larger revenue stream. I'd open a Buell / MV Agusta dealership . . . What about you?

mmmm that would be amazing...

that would be my dream dealership...maybe throw a couple triumphs and ducs in there too!!

Wow just the thought of a showroom full of XB's, 1125r's, f4's, brutales, and whatever else all those guys think of would be a dream come true...

just think of what it would be like if they worked together on some too!!!

Nice, keep it all american I say. Unlike the sell outs at Anheuser-Busch. I'll stick with my Pabst Blue Ribbon and Buells for life...or until they sell out.
Sorry, just letting some steam out over the U.S economy, and job out sourcing..etc. Dont mind me...

All they gotta do is open an MV dealership within 40 miles of me and it should be well worth it. If not, big step backwards for me.
