Use 3M double sided tape. Real thin and durable. Cleans up easy as well.

3m heavy duty auto trim adhesive, I used blue painters tape to lay out where the X
went and applied the glue according to directions. I used more blue tape to hold it
securely in place while the glue cured fully. simple, and I love the way it stabilizes
my tank bag...and my laptop when I'm running ECMspy ; )

Tim if you are in a bind and need it glued and want to . . . you can bring it to Homecoming. I happen to know (Note: it is NOT at the Buell factory) where there is a jig for making the airbox covers, some glue and some experience.

If I can take it for a couple hours, I can get it glued for you.

thanks for the offer court. i am debating on how to attach it.

i am unsure how the glue will react with the paint on my 9. plus i am thinking if/when i have to repaint the flat paint that if i do use that thin double stick tape i could just remove it and then stick it back on after i paint it.

i might get some tomorrow and see how it sticks and decide from there.
