I have been part of the bike scene in here in Indy for a couple of years, mostly riding with the sport bike crowd. I'd like to find a couple of Buell owners to have some fun with. I live on the west side, not that it matters much, any area of Indy is fine. I know there are a few Buells running around the Avon/Plainfield area.
So anyone wanna RIDE?

I'm out of the chicago suburbs, villa park to be exact. I could meet up with you at some point, though my bike is mufflerless at the moment cause its getting drummerized. I'm praying I get it back this weekend. Though its not looking like it will be that way. If your interested though let me know and we could meet up at some time. Hopefully you've got better roads then be do here, so tired of the "grid" system.

I'm in Indy. Shoot me a note sometime and we'll go ride.

Whitey, there are some GREAT roads down around Bloomington.

Check out Storm Fronts/Hoosier Thunder Club.

Hey Expatriate, I live about an hour and a half from your area. When I get some free time I'd like to head down your way to do some riding. There's a few more Buellers up my way who would probably like to run down to Indy too.
I used to work down in the Brownsburg/Pittsboro area a few years ago.
There's a rural road west of Pittsboro and south of 74 thats great for riding, (at least it was back in '01). Maybe you know of it. I tried looking for it last fall but couldn't find it again.

I live 5 miles north of Pittsboro. I grew up just north of the fake town of Maplewood. I'm not sure what road you're thinking of, but there really aren't too many that are all that interesting. Best I can think of is a couple mile stretch at the south end of 100E. It becomes 50E even though it's always the same road.

Od54,
That could very well be the same road, but I'd hate to say for sure. From what I remember about the road is that it was very smooth and wide and the area had a nice roll to the land. Very few houses, lots of cattle and wheat fields in the area too.
I'm sure times have changed a lot since I've seen it last in '01.
Hopefully housing developement or pot holes haven't overtaken the area like it has in other areas of the state.
The best bet would probably be to check out the Bloomington area, like Indy Bueller and JRockne mentioned.

Pete, I usually ride Goergetown rd the Friday night before the race, early in the evening. Tomorrow, I have to drive to Georgia, watch a graduation and then get back in the car and go back to Indy so I don't miss the party in Speedway on Saturday. I'm thrilled as you can imagine.

I'd love to get together with you, Kyle and Rob( and anyone else who'd care to) and go hit the twisties! Any one know if Putnam Park raceway is still open?
