so i rode my bike to my daughters talent show today. where i parked and made sure i left plenty of distance between me and the cars parked around me. the show was outdoors. when half way thru the show they announce that that someone has backed into a motorcycle and knocked it over. my heart dropped. sure enough i stand up and turn around to see a couple of people standing around my bike. which they so kindly picked up and moved onto the side walk. Before i even got there. A$$HOLES...... but any way there is only minimal damage to it. broke the clutch side foot peg. crushed the frame puck, scratched up my axel slider, and scratched up my crg clutch lever, scraped my billet grip and last but not least bent my bars ever so slightly. thank god i had frame pucks and axel slider or the damage would have been really bad.

so my question is. since i have to replace my bars. what options do i have? i should say that i really love the position of the stock bars. is there anything similar to that?
oh yeah pics would be great.

i have seen the clubmans. i like the bars with the more upright position. i really like the stock position, but since i was replacing the bars i figured i would see if there is something similar. but a little more trick looking.

Sean, i would love to come up there and ride with you crazy a$$ people. i will have to wait until sometime after homecoming.

Jon, the damage isn't that much. but nothing on my bike is stock. so that makes it a pain in the a$$.

I have a set of stock city X bars you could have inexpensively. Drop me a note if you are interested. If you want to go the after market route, I love my crossroads bars. I got them from American Sportbike. The installation was a small headache, but worth it!

Good Luck!

Gary,

I have the Cross Roads and I like them but once and awhile I tinker withe idea of Renthal Fat Bar (Low rise). They have different bends that may achieve what your looking for in a bar. Now get that thing polished up because I still need that pic I talked you about last year.LOL

i am going to just get stock bars for right now. but i am still looking for something to change them out.
i will check in to those renthal bars.

i did get lucky. i just polished my rear sub frame last weekend, and it didn't get damaged at all....
