I have a 2006 XB9 and I was speaking to my local dealer and were having questions about mapping. I was interested in getting my 2006 XB9 remapped to a 2007 MAP.

I am running into the issue where the dealer needs a 2007 XB9 VIN number to reprogram my ECM. I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to PM me there VIN number so my local dealer would do the upgrade for me. Thanks in advance!

as far as i know there is no difference? is something wrong with yours?

plus i dont think they can "remap" it. at least we cant, and i dont know any other dealers that can. the buells arent like reflashing a harley ecm, but i could be wrong about it being able to be done. just never heard of it.

News to me, all the maps seem to be plug and play like clicking in a lego brick, havent seen any that were more than that unless you go with the Techlusion which is only available for the XB12 so far

The reason is al at american sportbike has said there is a good bit of dif between the 06 and 07 maps. I've installed an 07 air box and want better fueling w/o paying for a custom map. The dealer needs an 07 vin to do it. Thanks again.

Have him check the floor for leftovers, sure he could find a vin there. Not saying anything derogatory here but asking for somebodys vin raises a few flags if ya know what I mean.

When they are putting your VIN into Digital Technician, tell them to change the 10th digit of your VIN from a 6 to a 7. It works just fine. Then do the OEM reflash with the 07 map.

Just got them to reprogram yesterday. Got an '07 vin and gave it to them. Josh, got your message right after I gave them the vin. Guess I got it done though. I haven't noticed any difference in the way the bike runs or anything, but I figured for $40 it couldn't hurt.
