OK, so now you're pullin' my leg... But just in case, YES for ANY motorcycle, in any race, at any time. Even against those exotics like Moto Guzzi, or Ural, or even Jawa. |

Court, it must have only only set the record because the it has a huge displacement advantage over the other bikes. No wait, it was because it was made by Harley Davidson, and "the fix was in" with the AMA. No wait, it was because Rod has millions to spend on his racing budget, and he just out spent everyone else. No wait, it was because Rod had special racing parts not available to the other 99 buyers of the 1190RS. No wait, it must have been because every other rider's visor fogged. That's it.

That's pretty neat, Sean did a good job! There's a discrepancy, though. There's an article in Road Racing World from Feb last year indicating a better time. http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?artic le=39480 |

JD, I suspect that technically it is a different track due to opposite direction of circulation used for Shawn's race. |

I remember from one of Rob's videos, Shawn mentioning the challenge of circulating the track opposite the normal direction. |

I probably shouldn't confess that . . . . but I enjoy seeing Shawn ride no matter if he wins or looses. I had the chance to work with him while at Buell and he . . . . to the extent you can overlook his talent as a rider . . is just a heck of a smart, nice and pleasant person who always brings a refreshing perspective. I get less spun up in the racing than some folks but it's folks like Shawn, Danny, Geoff, Taylor, Barney and company that make the entire experience just down right fun. For me . . . fun is where it's at. |

Shawn and Rob working the 1190. Going to do gearing change, minor stuff. Rob will have details. Pics from last night here in garage. Rob has camera position done WELL in the nose. The fairing keeps the wind noise down so you REALLY hear the engine. Rob SHOULD have his 1125R operational... and ME? I'll be filling in the back ranks in Twins classes on the much-abused XB

Higbee finished 2nd in the money race. He dominated the Twins race - AND dominated the Superbike race. He was clearly going to win the F1 race but halfway through, he was seen to be slowing. With all the problems seen with the engine NOT HEATING enough, they were taping the radiator - and there was also some rough running so first thought was "OH NO" - but on his return to the pits, he was UNABLE to see out of the visor and was trying to clear the visor by lifting it, tilting and turning his head. That caused a definite falling-back. Was totally cool to see him DOMINATE until the visor issue (OK OK OK, I know we're going to hear some $&^# about fogging visors) The cool thing is the bike is bone stock and can out-pull Aussie Dave Anthony's SBK spec GSXR 1000!
