I need, desperately I might add, a stock air box (cover and back plate primarily) for a 1999 X1. A failed attempt by some thieving bastards to steal my ride, and it was dropped on the right side. I just need the air box to get my scooter back on the road.

Thanks

Greg,
When I went looking for replacement saddlebags for my ’96 S2T, Brian(Bubba) found 2 sets of original bags at a dealership in Indiana. One Parkway Blue the other Silver. I got the Parkway Blue set. In the box were the bracket, bags, bag liners and lowers for $544. That included tax & shipping.

I used my Buell saddlebags from my M2 on the S2 for a trip up north last summer. Seemed to work fine on a 600 mile trip.

I just found out the S2-T bars I have listed are the recalled bars. Sorry, I got them from Pikes Peak HD in Colorado Springs. Just goes to show you what a bad dealer these guys are. Why would you hold on to and sell a recalled product?

Again sorry, I thought these were the replacements for the recalled bars.

Kim:

If they sold these to you within the last year or so you are prime for a REFUND.

Failing that, we could poll our numbers and see which 3 of us want to be among the legal action against the dealer.

If'n I were them I'd be treating you real nice and offering to come pick them up.

"Could and SHOULD have known", that's the test.

As a law professor once professed when asked at good ol' Washburn University Law School "Sir, what's the difference between negligence, ordinary negligence and gross negligence". I recall the moment of silence as he pondered, looked bad and said "thing of the difference between a fool, a damned fool and a God-Damned fool".

Pretty much ties the priciples of law together, eh?
