A surprise announcement was made regarding a new, one-off entry in MotoGP's 3rd US event next year. Former AFM production mid-fielder, Firstbuell, has proclaimed an alliance between himself, Cleveland CycleWerks, BadWeb, and former MotoGP paddock personality, MotoLiam.

Their plan is for Firstbuell to refresh & hone his long-dormant racing skills locally this summer astride a prototype 250cc Cleveland CycleWerks "Loudmouth" model [named after Firstbuell himself, it turns out].

"Yeah, I've been getting back into top competitive condition on Tuono Joice's TTR125 at the dirt mini-track - I totally rule there (on weekdays, anyway)".

Firstbuell will next "take it to the track", scheduling secretive winter test sessions at Miller Motorsports Park - selected for its distance from prying eyes, necessary cold-tire conditions, and nearby haute cuisine.

According to Team Manager MotoLiam [also fulfilling multiple duties as crew chief, parts designer, machinist, DJ, & team stylist], "Firstbuell has an interesting array of 'talents' & I'm certain that our unique equipe will make a big splash in Tex-ass. My own main task is to scale up CCW's surprisingly sweet 250cc single to a full 1000cc X-four ("X" for it's innovative, radial cylinder design)"

Elaborating, Motoliam explained, "We'll likely create either a V- or flat-twin 500cc mule to ease Firstbuell's entry into the pantheon of MotoGP greats. I still have some new Desmosedici-inspired pieces I've been looking to apply to a project - this bike may be my big chance".

Tho' some might be anxious about re-learning racing on modern-day radial slicks, Firstbuell noted, "I really don't expect any problems, as I'm already used to running totally worn out bias-ply Dunlops on my '76 XS500 proddy mount - how different can those new-fangled Bridgestones be?"

"Once Firstbuell makes his mark in 500GP, we'll bump him up to Formula 1000 for additional seasoning before the Big Show", MotoLiam chimed in.

Although Firstbuell knows that riding an unproven CCW bike in a MotoGP after taking part in just a few club races over a few months - a generation after retiring - he says there's no pressure and he's quick to laugh it all off.

"Having some fun is what we're after," Firstbuell said. "That's really the only way to really look at it. I've been out for a few decades and I have this opportunity. It's not like anyone expects me to go out there and set the world on fire or something. It would be nice to have a lot more development on it - we've already decided on minimal electronics, using only a magneto & on/off switch. It will be interesting to see how it goes. It's given me something to look forward to - get ready to go racing. I haven't done it in forever and I'm excited."

Funding is always an issue for top-flight team, but Firstbuell & BadWeb and have cooperated on an innovative solution - in a ground-breaking alliance with VISA and MasterCard, participating BedWeb members may purchase a posting License which will electronically deduct 10-cents for each NON-essential post online by the licensee. All parties involved are confident that sufficient BadWeb Unnecessary Posting funds will be collected - before Christmas!

Although MotoLiam will most often function as the public face of this exciting team, Firstbuell is convinced that he alone has the qualifications to select an "unforgettable" umbrella girl. His preliminary selections include AMA Pro's online presenter Danielle, whose other hottie videos have catapulted her near the top of his very long list.

Stay tuned for more Firstbuell MotoGP wild card information......

well, since that BOOM! post so long ago, most of my time has been spent on Google and Bing images sites, drooling over Danielle Teal !

Apologies to the lovely Cristy Lee and also Melisa Paris, both of AMA Pro's online vids - brassy Danielle's with "Next Moto Champions"

I did test-ride a Ducati Diavel, tho - those 90 minutes were more testing time than Nicky's had all season......

-------------------------------------------------- ----------------

Just in case anyone (everyone here?) didn't get the joke, my OP was a total riff on Aaron Yates' pre-Indy press release

well, that and some moto love thrown to me pal, Liam

I really wanna attend Austin's 2013 inaugural MotoGP round, wild card or not....
