Can't seem to find the correct ECM on EBR website - is there an exact part number, also they all say race use only ? BTW I replaced the front rotor, and its way better than the warped stock version. Parts ain't cheap, but I'm trying to keep my '08 xb12x with 20,000 miles on the road/off the road. Flyin' the Buell flag is getting harder. |

they say "race only" because they don't meet EPA guidelines. Email tech@ebracing.com. Subject line "08 Ulysses race ECM". Tell them - concisely! - how your bike is set up mechanically (exhaust, intake, drivetrain mods), and they will suggest and/or provide the best tune for your setup. |

Standard answer from them is, we can't help. It is getting real hard to keep this bike. Forget all the romance, handling, US made BS. How hard do you have to work, and how much is it worth to keep these bikes ? I am running out of $ and patience. |

What exactly are you trying to do? I went to the EBR site, I clicked store, XB12, and clicked on XB12 PREPROGRAMMED ECM. http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/models/xb12/x b12-preprogrammed-ecm.html

Not sure what is going on in your case, but if you think keeping a Buell running is expensive or hard, then you must of never owned anything else. There are many vendors, some with stores, some online, that have pretty much anything you need for your bike and they can usually get you it in a timely fashion. |

What's your setup, that they don't have a calibration that will work with it? |

Standard answer from them is, we can't help. It is your and HD's bike. EBR will sell you an after market performance part. You will still need to fix the problem that killed the first ECM. The demise of the RACE ONLY ECM do to the clearance issue under the seat will not be covered by EBR, as it is your duty to mount it with enough clearance so that it does not get the plug smashed to the side. note: Telling EBR to fix a problem owned by HD will get the reply, "We can't help". |

Legal note: I do not speak for EBR under any authority and only make the above statements to try and end any false assumptions that EBR is allowed to handle Harley Davidson warranted or non warranted problems. EBR is not a division of Harley Davidson. Buell is owned by HD. EBR and Buell Motorcycles are two different entities. |

Nothing fishy- maybe a little frustration, but all comments welcome- the Uly runs like a beast most of the time, after many years on a Road King with no issues,,, ah well I digress. I chose the Uly over an FL for a reason. Great ride. period. thanks for the counseling |
