The mounting tabs did not change. The only part of the 6mm rotor that is thicker is the friction surface. When I do brakes this year, I'm going with the 6mm (if the rotor needs to be replaced).

Would the new mounting hardware will improve the original rotor?

Sounds like a somewhat cheap experiment for next summer! : )

They are good for the stock rotor.

My concern is that the description says that it is a replacement for the stock rotor mounting kit, but in fact I do not believe that it will work on all of the rotors that can use the stock mounting kit.

well I got my Erik Buell Racing 6mm rotor and mounting kit yesterday when I get it in the shop I'll be pointing JP to this thread. what brake pads are you using with this new rotor?

I cannot remember which pads I bought when I had them installed (a while ago) but they still had at least half the meat left so I didn't get new pads. They are either #9059HH EBC Sintered - $50.50 -OR- #9064 Braking CM55 - $48.90
