I'm sure it's out there.. since lots of owners have the same problem I'm having with the speedo on my '09 XT dropping to 0mph randomly. I just can't find a thread about it that actually says what the fix is. |

In my case, 08 XT, it was a loose ground, either on the frame head stock or the panel. I can't remember which and for some reason, I didn't write it in my log... Husky |

Here is a thread I started a few months back when my speedo cut out. I wasn't sure whether I had a bad sensor or a wiring issue so I swapped the sensor from my S3T. Have not had a problem since. Ended up buying a new sensor for the S3T. Late model tuber parts work well on a Uly. |

K thanks guys. I'm guessing my problem is a ground. The speedo sensor randomly reads zero from startup. Don't think I've ever seen it fail going down the road once it's been working. If it reads zero long enough, check engine light comes on. The light will also go back out though.. I just have to keep riding and wait for the speedo to start reading again. A few min later the light disappears. |

Oh, and everything else on the dash works while the speedo is reading zero. Odo and trips don't count miles, but the tach, clock, etc work 100%. |
