That would be something I'd like to attend. I've only used it for TPS resets and checking the timing.

I`d like mine fine tuned in the lower rpm ranges 1000-2500, mine still surges or seems to misfire while under light load such as 4th or 5th gear 35- 50 mph. If someone has a tune worked out I could be a customer!

1000-2000 is never going to be happen for a V twin. Run a some more RPM and you and your motor will be happy.

Retard the timing a little and you'd be surprised how tractable low rpm can be.
Not something you want 20%+ TPS, but nice in neighborhoods.

Glenn,Thats not right.... these things should run very good but I'm in the same boat as barkbuster. Mine is surging in the same exact area of rpm. I have tried pretty much everything and still have this problem. There has to be a way to get these dialed in. there are too many of these bikes that run great. Mine did when it was brand new then i changed the pipe and thats where the problems started. I've tried different pipes air filters air boxes checked for intake and exhaust leaks changed plugs check 02 sensor and head temp sensor. Replaced the tps with a new one. I've done multiple tps resets. I thought we found the problem recently but it was a false alarm. I replaced the intake seals and we reset the tps and the bike ran ok for 2 days now its back to running like crap from 2200-2500 rpm. Its a little better but still has a surge. These bikes should run good. I have a bunch of friends and all their bikes run just fine.

I can bring my ECMSpy, but haven't used it, so I'm very interested in something like this. Anybody willing to step up to the plate at homecoming and offer a tech session like this?

ahem...we got potty with it on our laps...not by our sides... ; )

I will have a netbook and cable with, but I am no expert. I would be willing to participate however I can to help out. I've done a fair amount of teaching/training in various careers, but since I'm not a pro I don't think I would be the right one for it! I could help facilitate a Q and A as long as some experts join us in the room?

I learned a lot from Mike over at the buelletin board. Here's a link for those who haven't been there yet.

Froggy could probably help some folks out if he's going to be there. I've seen him with his laptop at TWO before. That's obviously up to him, I can't volunteer him, I'm just saying he is knowledgeable in the subject.

doesn't have too be a formal thing, myself I've hooked it up but do not want to make any changes because Iam a tech dunce. but with a quick show how too could most likely do what I need.
With the death of BMC we owners might look at how BMW airheads hold tech day,at a hosts home do some wrenching riding an eating.
It is possible that not to soon its going too be difficult for parts and service of these machines without each others help.
