>>>>That's the spirit that surrounds Buells and everyone associated with them.

Has since 1989.

: )

I've been to THREE "First Annual" Buell Owners events in the last 21 years. I suppose, if this comes off as the "First" for the ERIK BUELL RACING that this may be my FOURTH "First Annual".

Somethings have changed.

The best parts haven't.

Even when there were only like a dozen of us Buell owners in the United States . . . Homecoming was amazing. Walt, Don, Doc, Dave, Brankin and a handful of us would gather and the excitement we shared about Buell and each individuals amazing tales (Buells have always tended to fall into the hands of very interesting folks) were enough to fuel our passion for the next 12 months.

I'm looking forward to this one just as much as I did the Buell events 20+ years ago . . . I have pics of Erik and I when we looked like kids. He and I both still enjoy it just as much as we did the first year.

Like no other motorcycle I've ever seen the most amazing part of a Buell is the rider . . .

If this is your first Homecoming . . . you are in for a treat, perhaps some special treats, and I'm convinced that Rocco, Steve and Dana have conspired to make this the BEST BUELL HOMECOMING ever . . . I'll be there with my wife, who's played a bigger role in Buell than most will ever know, and Jack the official "Super Dog" of Buell.

: )

P.S. - I still tease about the first Buell owners event . . . even with most the Buell owners in the USA there . . . it rained and we were all able to ride to lunch together in a station wagon. If you haven't heard the story of "Erik and the Toll Booth" from 1990 . . . be sure to remind me to tell you. . . . or perhaps you want to hear about when I stole the first S1 when HD decided not to send it to Portland for a motorcycle show.

: )

You know Court, I am going to search through all of Badweb and make a list of "remind me to tell you" references you have made. I will carry that list with me at all times during homecoming in case I get a chance to remind you to tell me something. I don't want to forget what to remind you to tell me when I get a chance.

That would be a horrible missed opportunity of I drew a blank. Just don't run away from the guy carrying the reams of paper - that would be me

I hope I have a terrible time. Then I won't feel so bad that I've had a Buell for years and this is my first Homecoming! Haze away, I can take it.

Every time I get together with only one or two buelligans it's fun. So this should be epic!

We don't need to. After this week, you'll be kicking yourself far worse than we ever would.

Being a Westerner, not only am I excited about Homecoming, but having roots in WI - I have one word - Custard!

The health nuts out here can not do frozen treats the right way.

YES custard! There are lots of places that serve great custard. One is located in Burlington but I can't remember the name of the place right now. Gus's in East Troy s also a MUST do place to grab a great sandwich.

At last years homecoming, I had a large custard cone at Gus's prior to eating, then another after eating. I know, I'm a pig, but it was dam good!

Dr Greg, do not judge all Buell riders by me. They are pretty nice people. I think you will have a great time and I am sure there are several people that want to meet the famous Dr Greg. (I know Lynn and I would like to see you again)

The Buell Homecoming is more about the people that ride the bikes vice the bikes themselves (IMO).

The guys that are organizing this one are doing a bang up job and I doubt anyone will be disappointed.

On a different note, do you plan to attend the ADVRider South Fork event? I can ride out for a day and chat if you are. Great riding around that area. Watch out for the State Troopers on Wolf Creel Pass (DAMHIK).

Thinking of Homecoming, one of my hopes is to shake hands with Erik, along with many of you on the forum. I don't know if it is possible but I would sure love to get Erik's autograph on my Uly.

On the other topic Frank I am planning on attending the Advrider South Fork event.

As I travel I always look for micro breweries along the way as I am truly a beer geek. I was searching E. Troy and there doesn't seem to be anything there but ten miles away in Burlington there is a place that looks promising. Not a brewery but a beer bar called B.J. Wentker's Triangle Tavern and Grill. Highly rated too. Anybody been there already?

Dunno about that one, but if you've never been to WI you gotta check out New Glarus' Brewery. They make Spotted Cow (ale, I think?) and a ton of other great brews...and ONLY sell in WI. Grrrr.... : )

I have frequented the old and new breweries on the way to 'The Great Taste of the Midwest" beer festival in August. I love their Hop Hearty Ale. Now I hear they quit making it!
You are correct, very good beer there.

Tootal, there's also the Capital Brewery in Middleton. A loop from Alpine Valley to Middleton and New Glarus would be about 180 miles. Ya got me thinkin...
