Really? No more black? Makes me damned glad I got one now, then (although truth be told, I'd have 'settled' for a blue one). The 1125CR is mucho sexy. I think that'll replace my XB9R someday. |

The new 1125CR is freakin' awesome looking in person. Wicked fairing/radiator scoops really come together when viewed from the front quarter view. I was wondering how they would handle the radiators, they done good..... |

Of interest to Uly riders- new footpegs & new belts. News page claims footpegs are more aggressive, but only obvious change is black color. All the XB's also get updated drive belts, based on belt developed for the 1125R. (Message edited by Hughlysses on July 22, 2008) |

I don't see any reference to the police models. Has anyone been able to find those on the site. Would like to order some of the parts from that bike. |

Do the cop bags use the same brackets as the original bags on the X and XT? |

One of the things I love about Toyotas. As I drive my 1987 4Runner with a 1996 V6 that gets the same mileage, almost 2x the power. Who'd a thunk I'd have to buy an American motorcycle to get kaizen manufacturing? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuous_improvemen t |

Yeah, I was looking at that. $500+ is a little steep for me, though, considering the only time I've felt my ZTLs even began to labor was riding fully-loaded and two-up, which is very rare. I don't race any of my bikes, perhaps that would change my mind, but I think the 6-piston, 2-pad setup works just fine for the VAST majority of us. |

""Looks like they did away with those sloooow Black Ulys"" Word is, it was a liability issue - those black ones were just waaay 2 fast for the general 'pubbic'. . |

Based on comparing the differences in wheelbase, trail, rake and fork angle of the X and XT as listed in the '09 specs, I'm assuming that the '09 XT still has the limited steering lock of the '06 and '07 X. Can't understand why they would increase the steering lock on the '08 X, tout that as an improvement in their press information and then keep the same meager steering lock on both the '08 and '09 XT??? Uly 1080, I have had the same question. It is hard to tell from the photos but the brackets do not seem as large on some shots I've seen. |

The X has more steering travel than the XT? ...my XT has a TON more steering travel than my XB9R, seems damned near what the Blast does...are there actually three different degrees of travel amongst the XB lineup? |

EG: ""New accessories hard bags. "" Hey EG, I've been waiting until the Police bags became available before deciding which bags to get. These cases would appear to hold less, but they look good. Looks like you have to alter the rear turn stalks as well, to a lower position. . |

Chad, Use the comparison feature on the Buell site and comparing the XT to the 1125CR. The XT ULY only has 1/2" more ground clearance and if you put all three luggage bags on the CR it still would be 50 lbs lighter than the XT. Looks to me as if an enterprising individual could morph that CR into a 1125CRX. I'd be interested if that 1125 engine got XB type of fuel economy but it pretty much is going the wrong way in that regard. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on July 22, 2008) |

The old Hepco-Becker bags are still there http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/index. asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=2&CategoryID=4 Those new bags look nicer but I wouldn't sacrifice the capacity to get them. (Message edited by rwven on July 22, 2008) |

Also give me a Flex-fuel bike that can run on Regular, Premium and E-10, and E-85. A true adventure bike has got to run on low octane and high octane and anything available. I'm not sure if the Brazilian guy at Homecoming understood my question but I asked him if his Brazilian Buell ran on pure alcohol and he answered that his ran on 90% alcohol. Maybe he meant 90% gas. I've heard that their cars can handle 100% sugarcane alcohol. |

The 09 lineup looks great. Will miss the STT though, neat looking bike. Curious though if Buell addressed heat issues in next years line up? Also the 1125r was fraught with heat and electrical problems, how about solutions there as well. Not complaining, just wondering if the evolution of the brand corrects issues noticed by the riding population. Love my 06 Uly, and all of its quirks. |

Electraglider_1997!! In Brazil the gas (low or hi octane) has 23% of alcohol. Thus, the Buells imported go with 23% of alcohol, without problems. I can not say they will launch Buell at 100% alcohol, but I see no problems. Our cars work very well with 100% of alcohol; need only a "cold start" with gas in the states cooler. |
