I have an '07 and have the '06 seat as well. Well I got the bright idea, just now actually, to move the seam/seat-well back 3.5 inches on the '06 seat - I don't like where the seam hits my arse, and I never ride anybody, but love the '06 seat for its height - it will also let me move around some if I do that.

Any recommendations as to where I might send it?

Thanks in advance for the opinions.

John H.

I have had several seats from Sargent Cycle Products. They just returned my ULY seat after doing some custom work. Very nice work and great customer service. Give them a call:

I've had a couple of seats reworked by Sargent; they do quality work for a reasonable price. Sargent is very good at doing what you ask them to do to your seat. I had excellent results with one seat but another didn't turn out so well. The work was OK, it's just that the comfort improvement was nil. I also found out the "atomic foam" they offer provides a better seating surface but it also conducts heat MUCH better than the stock foam (this was on a Buell S3). That might be a problem on a Uly.

If you've got the money, there are several places that will custom-alter your seat based on photos and measurements you send them. Some of them will even do it while you wait if you're located close enough to ride in and make an appointment ahead of time. Here are a few I know of:

I have no personal interest or experience with any of these guys, just passing along the info. Let us know what you do and how your seat turns out.

I had my seat recently done by this guy... I live in Wisconsin and have not been able to try it out yet.
