Now that I got rid of 2 cars, and bought another bike ... it's nothing but subfreezing weather, ice, snow and salt !!! SOOOO FRUSTRATING !!!! Especially when you consider the 2 cars I sold were drivers .. now we only have one car on the road as the other I kept is my toy and doesn't get the privilege of seeing snow .... That'll learn me .... should've kept a second driver - even if it sits for 10 months out of the year .... Sorry ... had to vent a little ... |

I'm right there with you man. It's bittersweet buying a new bike in winter. Awesome to get a new bike and sucks cuz you can't ride it. Did you get a chance to start on the S1? -Matt |

I haven't even gotten the damn thing home yet ! Put down a big enough down payment to hold it for a bit, just waiting to be paid on all that I sold ... hopefully this weekend... |

I have 200+ feet of snow covered driveway until I can get to dry pavement. The sun is shining, I need to ride!!
I know I can make it!! |

I haven't even ridden the past week and a half. Been too much ice and snow on the ground. Brian, Toni got to sit on the bike yesterday and make vroom vroom noises though with her new leather pants on(had to sit on the bike to try 'em out of course!). That's the closest she's come to riding since before Thanksgiving. |

Usually a better mass transit system. Unfortunately, our buses here don't run near my place of employment, nor at the times I need to be here. But, I did only put 2 tank of gas in my truck all of 2006. |

i havent been able to ride for the last couple weeks. the roads have been very slick most of the time. i want to ride, but i dont have the finances to piece my bike back together again anytime soon so i'll just wait. it might get out this weekend though because we are having a degree ride at work. if it's 5 degrees outside, we go 5 miles. 20 outside we go 20 miles. not sure what we do if its negative something outside though. maybe push the bikes backwards that many miles lol. |

Well growing up in Colorado we would ride year round, I had a 1943 WLA 45cu HD with a sidecar, knobby tires in winter, streets in summer, and a modified Mercedes-Benz plug in oil stick that keeps the oil hot while the bike is sitting. High school and the first few years of the Army. Man there were some cold rides home, I got that bike for $1500.00, he gave me $800.00 for my 1975 Yamaha XS650B electric and I rode it home that day..in November. I was 22 when I sold that bike to a Full bird Colonel in Washington DC for $5000.00, it still had the original leather rifle holster on it. In Germany many ride with spiked tires and plug in suits that are good to freezing temps, also while in Russia for cold weather training I rode a Ural with a side car almost like my HD but the sidecar wheel was driven, spiked tires, that was in Vladivolstok in 1991 in January in ice and snow. It can be done, just isn't very easy. I feel for you all up there, but I moved to the south for this very reason. |

Yea .. it's been exactly 2 weeks since I've been out on my bike ... I keep going to the door to check the weather every morning in hopes that the snow and ice has melted and I can go riding ... hasn't happened, and it doesn't look like it will any time soon.... |

Its been since December 15th since I rode here in Colorado. Just one of those years when the ice doesnt go away.I still have a foot of ice from my driveway to my street. That first blizzard is still around even over a month later. For Colorado its been a wild year for weather. Sounds like this week it will finally melt some. Just in time for another system this weekend. The lakes around here might still have water in them by July. |

I mean how much polishing can you really do That is a question you don't want to ask me ... I spent many days, polishing my race header before I mounted it .. (in summer though) ... I have been known to be a bit on the excessive side when it comes to polishing and cleaning .... |

You don't just wait till the next rain storm to ride in? They all tease me about how dirty my bike is, and tease Black_sunshine with how clean his is. |
