Glitch, I know how to do it, I just find it interesting that in the "official" Buell PR material they show something that if you went to your dealer with a burnt/melted headlight they would probably not cover under warranty if they found out what you were doing. Some of the older brochures also had a 9R (I think) with both lights on. |

BTW, I like the CityX, but the frame/swingarm should be in Villian Black, and all XB's still need welded on frame slider mounts. The glue on type Buell is FINALLY selling is better than nothing, but not as good. |

How about this Jose I found this one last weekend at a Stunt contest but looking at it looks like it would break the tab its connected to.This bike looks like it never hit the sliders yet.I'd like to know how it would turn out if and when it does. |

I just find it interesting that ... Gotcha. But, the XB*R's do have both on. These guys don't seem to have any issues. The 3%'ers are going to see 'em this Friday (edit: I can't make it )at the HOG ralley. I got someone to take pics and ask questions. They'll do a burnout while walking beside the bike, then just let it go to fall on the pavement. Unreal abuse from these kids. edited by glitch on July 20, 2004 |

I think Hal's are way better but to expensive to have done. The stunt bike if you saw the welds it looked like it wouldn't take a good fall. But for what Hals wants for them I'll pass.BTW Glitch those sliders in my pic look just like the ones in yours.Wonder if the bike in the background is one in the same. |

I dunno , ditch the hand guards, mirrors, and signals - replace with CRG mirrors and some Kellerman micro's, perhaps Laverda bars, a different seat - streetfighter - solo ala Corbin, Buell sliders on the frame - it could definately work that way - I like the fact that everything is very minimized on this model - if it wasn't for the hand guards and light screen - I would consider it a logical progression for what Buell fans have always been asking for - minimalistic everything surrounding an engine/suspension that can get the job done and have fun doing it. Hey - I figure I'll have my Blast projects done in a couple more years - got to plan ahead, and this bike would be a great canvas to start on because it is already different - and I like different! - lol GT - JBOTDS! Wonder if the bike in the background is one in the same. Dunno, these are a team called Ill Conduct sponsored by Atlanta Harley Davidson. Shame they don't even tack on a Buell to their name. The have some videos on their website. EZ: I think I may get a set of those hand guards for this winter, if they are easy on easy off. Looks like they may make the winter commute on a naked bike a little more bearable.

Here is a good pic of the slider from the Atlanta stunt team site. The slider is mounted to the engine mount bracket.

I think it's kinda growing on me. Though I know I would not be able to keep it clean enough.

i dont like the look of the seat on the xb9sx. It looks like the seat on my blast. Though it does look more comfy, it was the first thing i noticed and i think it looks kinda bulky. i like the lines the seats on the 9s' have |

I think the it would look good with the F.A.S.T. intake stack/filter visible under that cover replacing the stock box. FTD |

Dave - any idea what the cost of a set of the black wheels from the XB9SX will be? I might just buy a set of those instead of powder-coating my current ones. 420 - way to be open minded - you should come over here sometime and say that. 50% of the people here ride scooters or motorcycles, and they've got some seriously bad- scoots. I'll have to get a picture of the one I saw a couple days ago over on Hakushima Doori. It had a battleaxe for a windshield wiper, skulls and spikes plastered all over it, and was painted in jungle camo. One of those little 50cc weedwhacker jobs. The other thing is, I've never seen anyone here ride like an or give any indication that they weren't a very good rider, be it on a 125cc race rep, an R1, or a 400cc scooter. Definitely more than I can say for 95% of the people I see on motorcycles or scooters in the US. |

each to there own i guess but i stand by my statement that everyone who rides em looks like a tool and that they all know it the fatgirl comparison pretty much hit it on the head |

I'd really like to try that new seat. I find the stock xb9s seat doesnt allow any movement back/forth. |

I think the wheels are going to be 336.00 each. after the discount you'd be looking at 604.80 Dave |

Ouch...maybe I will just get them powder coated red, then... I'm gonna need one of the new city covers that they make for the Firebolt, though. I'll be giving ya a ring about that when I get home. |

i dont like the black wheels because with the front rotor, from that one side it looks like the front wheel is silver, atleast the lip, and the rear is all black. i like matching wheels, so i am just not big on the black wheels. maybe if i do get one of these soon, a high possibility, i can trade the wheels for some others with one of you |

I have the stardust silver wheels on my 12S and would be more than willing to trade you if you get some black ones. So what are you waiting for?

As I was driving home from bike night last night I noticed something. The headlamp light lights up the inside of my flyscreen. Ought to be a nice effect on the new CityCross flyscreen. |

Glitch...That may be a "legal" problem in some States since red and/or blue lights are reserved for police and emergency vehicles. Not to mention only white and amber lights are allowed to be seen on the front of motor vehicles. Have a friend that keeps getting fix-it tickets in California for having a red windscreen on his CBRXX and there is no onboard light source behind it like you described. The Officer's claims are that reflection and lights from other vehicles at night showing through it could confuse the driver ahead of you. Stick this in your "For What It's Worth" file and let's see what happens. |

Hmmm...didn't think of that at all. Maybe they did and sealed it up. They have to do something anyway, when I took mine off to put new blinkers on it was very dirty back there. |

Wonder if somebody at Buell monitored that post and decided to check it out? Can you imagine the shame and laughter if it is a real concern and they have to do a recall/fix kit for a translucent flyscreen? Makes me wonder about the tank cover as well. Hope this is resolved and that Buell doesn't have a problem with the issue. |

Makes ya wonder. Time will tell if nothing else. I hope no one has to go to court and try to explain. "No, really I bought it this way, I just got it, I've done nothing to the bike, honest!" |
