I was reinstalling the battery after a fluids change. I had a long screwdriver in my hand, I turned, and inadvertently I touched the screwdriver to both battery leads and it produced a big spark. The bike will no longer charge the battery. I did changed the battery as it was no longer very new anyway. All of the fuses are good. From most likely to least likely, where should I check? The bike will start after a jump and it will run perfectly fine even if the battery is totally dead. |

Jump starting can be a bad thing - try not to do that unless stranded. If it runs with a dead battery - then the bike is fine - it is the battery that is the issue. EZ |
