Actually it's a 14.7 inch shock. You will need to order a 14.7 front mount as well. American Sport Bike has both. Ask for Al. |

And on an X1 going from the long to the short shock, you'll need the corresponding chin fairing bracket - that is - if you are still running a chin fairing. Those pesky details, 1313 |

You can get a Penske or the twin motorcycles shock in the 16 1/2 in length. Way better than the stocker. Bit of money though. But you wouldn't have to swap brackets and find the chin bracket. |

Yes they do sell the bracket but it is a separately sold item.http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/17396-S Your choices of shocks are a new stock shock like the third on pictured. http://www.americansportbike.com/images/Shock_abso rbers.jpg I do not know the price and availability of a stock shock but you will need the bracket and it is sold separately. Your other options are: A Penske http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/5194-83 A twin motorcycle http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/5191-17 Or a Works performance http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/6060 Each of these shocks is available in long or short configuration. |
