Just to be clear, the plate uses a '99 to '02 X1/M2/S3 sidestand, pin and spring....? Are the '97/'98 sidestands the same? Thanks. (Message edited by SimonD on March 16, 2014) |

I am not an expert on kick stands but after some research what I have found is that the only differences were the M2 low which had a shorter kickstand by an inch... I think all others are 13 inches from pivot to junction of the foot to the shaft.... Part numbers implied colors I think.... Anyone else?? |

machinist is done cutting the parts, just needs to get some time getting them buffed and then he will send them out and I will turn ship them to those that ordered as quickly as I can. the lean angle is almost as upright as my S1 or X1, and very stable with these side plates. for the locator pin I bought a small roll pin from Lowes and inserted it all the way then filed it down to 3mm length sticking out from the plate. I will pick some up and include them with the parts when I ship them out. I used that dimension based upon a spec found in a recall that outlined the pin length. that worked well with the new isolators I installed.

The machinist had a slight set back, buffing wheels parts were on back order, finally received the parts on Wednesday and will finish these up as quickly as he can. I know a few of you ordered "un-polished" but I wanted to keep the order together to make things easier for him so that he only has to mail out one box of parts. If any one that ordered unpolished needs them immediately I will see what I can do, please let me know by PM, I will assume no messages means all is well. its almost riding season!!!! |

a little set back for the machinist, wrong parts came in for polishing wheels. all is well though, should ship very early next week. hes a great guy and apologizes for the delay, things were simply outside of his control when the wrong parts were delivered. thanks for being patient guys! I will do my best to quick turn them, I have already bought the retaining rings for the pivot pegs and the roll pins for isolator locator. |

Side plates came in today! they are all boxed up and ready to be shipped out to each of you. I have included the roll pins and retaining ring for the pivot pin. I unfortunately forgot to add in the price for insurance for shipping. to insure the package for about 1,000.00 replacement value is an additional 25.00. If you want insurance please gift through paypal, if you want me to ship without insurance, I can mail immediately. please chime in and let me know what you want to do. thanks! |

Got 'em. Holy crap, they're beautiful. I was expecting them to be, but I'm still blown away. Might be the prettiest motorcycle part I've ever seen. Thanks again for setting this up and doing all the leg work. Jeff |

Finally got the plates installed. Took her for a ride today. Didn't have to worry about it falling over when I stopped for gas. It was a beautiful day today in south Texas. Good times. |
