I'm moments away from buying a Jardine exhaust with the quiet core but there are two different sizes of cores. 2" and 2.25". Which one do I need? (Message edited by Axelf on October 02, 2012) |

2". I bought a Jardine and the Quiet Core this summer. As a few pieces of bent metal, it's way over priced, but all exhausts are that way. Anyway, it's a great bit of kit, and I'm glad I bought it. I had the carb adjusted for it. It is somewhat peppier up to about 50mph, then the improvement is less pronounced, if any. It is louder than stock only somewhat. |

Thanks Titus Yeah I'm just looking for some 0-60 pep. I'm never on a road that allows me to reach speeds over 55. Also looking to add some cool factor to the bike as well. |

Use front lower stock mounting hardware. EZ |

I installed the Jardine using the Jardine supplied hardware. I had read EZ's warning, but the Jardine hardware seemed to be fine and I used it. I have checked the hardware several times over the past 4,000 miles and there have been no changes, and I have had to make no adjustments. Perhaps at sometime in the past they supplied a softer bolt. |

Check for cracks around the can to header and tab mount - that solid mount has caused a lot to crack. If they increased the weld points at the neck and tab - it could cure the problem, but no one has ever did a comparo of old Jardine and new can - lol EZ |
