There are dealers that still have brand new 04 Lightnings, so yes, its possible to get a new one that had the recall.

Thanks for taking a look at mine.
It shows as Military since I bought it thru Military Sales here in Germany. It is sitting at the dealer waiting for me to pick it up, while the customs paperwork gets sorted.

I'd appreciate it if you could check mine too... My dealer isn't good at all, they refuse to believe me that 142 isn't the new flash for the CR, they told me there's no such thing as a 152.

The VIN looked odd, starting with a 5, but it came up as a clear VIN, no owner yet and no recalls shown or required.

Zack; I'm looking at the last 4 #s of everyone's vins...is that the # of bikes made by any chance? I see mine's 2080 and was made 01/09 only one on here higher 2220...any idea of the highest (or last) 09 CR produced? What do you think total CR production was?

FWIW we got 6 Buells from a dealer in Missouri, 3 were 2008 1125Rs and none had a host of recalls done to them. For us that would have been great make-work in the winter of 2008/09. As it was, we had to delay delivery to buyers since some of the recall kits were back ordered now.
