My wife has tenatively agreed to let me pick up an 1125CR, but is concerned about the comfort for her. She is used to riding my Sportster and CB900, both of which had sissy bars. She's never ridden a bike without a sissy bar before, and is concerned about comfort over a couple hour trip. Any help, please??!! |

I've got 2 sissy bikes right now, one of which will be gone in the spring (Honda) if I go through with this. I'm more concerned with picking up a CR for $6k right now. |

you aren't going to win any "bonus points" with her riding on the back. Not comfy for any real length of time. +1 get her own bike. |

Buy 2, 1 for you and 1 for her. She'll have all the room she needs. |

I don't know of any flip up backrest options. There is a better seat (comfort) available from Buell. It is called "Select Seat" or some such thing. |

You can buy a passenger seat from Buell that should provide increased comfort. The sissy bar could probably be somehow incorporated into that seat, but with a fair amount of fabrication. I think that another thing to think about is the angle of her upper body on a CR, even one with the high handlebar kit. I haven't seen it, but she may be leaning forward too much to even touch the sissy bar. Since you're selling the Honda, just keep the Sportster and use that when you ride 2-up. The money saved can justify keeping one of your two bikes. |

Ventura has sissy stuff and passenger grab bars for 1125 models. There is a touring seat for the passenger through Buell, see the accessories link on buell.com |

The touring seat is pretty good. My wife and I put in 600 miles one weekend and she had not complaints. |

There's an 1125R owner 'round here who rides a lot with a passenger -- Nick, I think, right? -Kurt |

Whoa! That pic should be a new thread. If that bike as pictured, 1125GT, was available I would have been into a dealership at full price rather than attending the fire sales. The only thing not on there is lowers for leg wind/rain protection. Hint....! For me if I could do a fairing out front, backrest out back, then even soft luggage does it for me. Wish the parts were off the shelf. I'd be interested to see if I'm alone in thinking that a sport bike with a Buellishly low dry weight would make a great all weather machine as you've pictured. Like I said Froggy, you should make a new thread and see what responses are rec'd. |

There has been plenty of threads on it, I will post pics of my progress (The photoshop isn't my work, but is exactly how I pictured it in my mind) |

Agree to buy her a bigger diamond and or whatever else you have to do... Question her on what she desires and leave the bike out of it. Ride alone on this one. You can have your cake and eat it too...tho it may cost you, one way or another. |
