I really like Buells; but like any other product, there's always room for improvement. There are a few changes that would make owning one just a little bit nicer. I'd like to see a switch setup where you don't have to move your hand from the bars to change modes on the odometer/tripmeter/clock. Moto Guzzi has switches on the left bar; Buell could do something similar. I'd also like to see a temp. function in the readout. I'd like to see a raised lip around the oil filler and dipstick. An 1/8" lip would go a long way towards keeping crap away from the oil. I would like to see the return of a cassette type transmission. I think it's wrong to have to split the cases should a bike need transmission work. Is Harley really saving that much money by eliminating the trap door? All they need is one bad batch of shifter forks or bearings and it'll cost a great deal more than they saved. I guess they forgot the lesson the 1952 K model taught them. Lastly, I's like to see a fairing for the XT. They can call it an "Adventure Bike" if they want to; but the reality is that it's a Sport-Tourer. They've already got the 1125 Fairing with it's "Quiet Zone"; put something similar with lowers on the XT, and I think it would be really sweet. These are the things I'd like to see. I hope the folks at the factory agree. |

Great ideas, Crusty. A lip around the oil filler hole would be really nice. I would like to see an easier way to change the fork oil too. |

I would like to see an S model of the 1125R and CR. Like the Ducati S models it would have Ohlins suspension, and the racing chain conversion swing arm, forged wheels, racing ECM and muffler. Also a full fairing on the R would improve the looks of the pods. In addition to making it a faster, better looking and better handling bike, it would make building a race bike cheaper, and thus encourage more privateers to race the bikes. just my .02¢ Of course it's never going to happen, so I might just pick up a used Ducati 999S.

I would like to see an S model of the 1125R and CR. +1 THere are enthusiasts who'd like a higher spec factory machine that they do not have to build themselves. It used to be a delight to pull open a trapdoor. |

Things I'd Like To See On My Next Buell 1. supermodels 2. hard bags 3. sunshine 4. a raised lip around the oil filler 5. an oil filter that can be changed w/o having to remove the chin piece 6. Google maps 7. a small tank bag full of money 8. oil temp/pressure 9. 100,000 miles of twisties |

I'd like to see a sight glass that allows me to check the oil while the bike is on the SIDESTAND. I'd like removable, locking bags available as an option for ALL of the models, not just the Ulysses. That's it. I don't ask for much. |

I like Buell motorcycles a lot, however, the one thing I would really like to see is the factory working on the quality of these bikes. There are many issues I see posted within Bad Web members that leads me to think that Buell has some Quality Assurance issues. I hope I'm wrong here but I have also seen issues with my Xb9SX that scares me...like the engine shutting down for no apparent reason...this happened at least 3 times already.... Like I said, I love Buell bikes...my next one may be a used Cyclone or even S2. |

What ever happened to like 500 new accessory's or something like that? That was with regard to the 1125R platform and there are many of them out. I really like Crusty's list. >>>I hope I'm wrong here You likely are. One thing I'd caution against is using the internet as a source of "quality" measurement. Buell, like all manufacturers tracks standard metrics and the Buells, in fact the Blast, has the single highest quality ratings in the entire HD organization. As a result of the Blast's amazing numbers there have been, over the last 6 years, many "Blast concepts" applied to HD design, development and manufacturing. In addition to improving build quality Buell is also raising the bar (cars AND bikes) for responding quickly and effectively. Why some protest about having several "flash updates" in a year I'd suggest those are the same that would say "if Buell had it why did they make us wait until the next model year". Buell is not perfect but they are doing an excellent job of building in the quality and rapidly deploying improvements. Court P.S. has anyone ever heard of an XB9SX dying 3 times for no reason? I'd sure be chasing that down. |

I can agree to that. I just picked mine up yesterday, it was running like crap. I thought it might of been the carb boot or other intake leak. Turns out it has been sitting for 2 years, and after beating the hell out of it for a few miles all is good! Damn tires were low on air, the previous owner didn't use Nitrogen. |

I bet its the BAS. As for paint, I love the plastics. Dirt cheap, and as they get scratched up from using it, I will just buy another one. |

1. slow and fast damping adjustment on the suspension. 2. heated grips standard on all models. 3. Fuel gauge. |

Metal, how about an electronically adjustable suspension that can be adjusted on the fly with a push of a button. Also have memory settings so you can click a button for maximum highway pothole absorption and then flip it into track mode once you get there |
