Let us know what you find out about Justen P. Cameron.... It would be a major suck fest for him if he left the bike with a fellow Jar Head before he deployed..... only to have that Jar Head get transfered or deployed himself.... leaving his bike all alone and missing its owner... I hope he is alive and well... if not you should try to contact his family so they can get the bike..... times are tough and the extra $$ may be a big help. PS.... BOOT! |

I don't think this post weakens our national security. Our bases are very secure. The parking lots and other areas are patrolled by dogs. Anytime a vehicle is abandoned it is inspected and depending on the situation, might be impounded. I worked security before. At any time, we could have 30 vehicles in the impound lot. Most of the vehicles we would find, belonged to some young servicemen, who was on deployment or leave. Now as far as sharing the name and his info, a PM would be better. But it really isn't a secret where "most" people are stationed. But I do believe it is against some kind of federal employment privacy act. Maybe? |

If you find out that he is on deployment, maybe we could take up a collection to buy him a cover for the bike. I don't think that is too much to ask, considering what he is doing for us. Any thoughts? |

It'd be cool if we found out he was deployed and got his bike cleaned up, properly stored and ready for him when he returned. |

"It'd be cool if we found out he was deployed and got his bike cleaned up, properly stored and ready for him when he returned." I agree. Would sure be a better way to come home than finding out someone figured out the system and now "legally" has your bike in his name. |

Well, i got a call about 5 minutes ago from Sgt. Cameron, and you wont believe what he said. "ya, i just got back from security school. I forgot i had that bike." he use to use it as a track bike but didnt like how slow (top speed) it was. Then i came to the question about him selling it. "ya, here in about a month when i get all settled in again i'll probably sell it." me:"how much you gonna sell it for?" sgt.:" probably a grand."when i heard that, i about shit myself. told him to call me the second he is gonna sell it. how lucky can i be.so, with that, if i do get it, i'll be stripping it. all i want is the plastics and the engine..lleverything else, i'll sell. so all you guys keep that in mind, and i'll make a post when i get the bike |

Seriously - let me know about the rolling chassis when you're ready to sell. I'm always looking for a way to put together a "B" bike for racing. DANG but you got lucky there!!! |

I left a bike on Nellis AFB AREA II when I left there. Anyone wants it they can have it. That was in 1981. 1000 bucks, guys were always giving stuff away. Glad to hear it hasn't changed. |

That is funny the berm the tracks are setting on in the second pics brings back bad memories. We were doing a range sweep one day and the Japanese had there tanks up there and started shooting while we were in the impact area. I nearly shat my pants. One of by boots did. |
