Last night at the Minneapolis IMS I got final, irrefutable evidence that there is tractor DNA in our Buell's. It first I was a bit unwilling to admit it but after staring for a bit, it grew on me. Odd, funky, cool, "Different in Every Sense". A pictures is worth a 1000 words.
Hey, it gets boring up here in the winter! Gotta find something to do! Brad |

Gotta hand it to the guy for bringing a dirty bike to a show and refusing to clean it. Hell he probably rode in that morning..... Oh the Hooliganism I have been following that build over on Thumper side. Very nice final product |

I'd ride it all over the place. Might switch it to a Wheelhorse logo though. edit add: Make the exhaust stack go up in the air in front of the tank to one side. Put a flapper on top of it. (Message edited by ourdee on February 14, 2009) |

If you look close, it has a rain flapper on it. Looks good in person-I have to say Buell's booth was very nice-I thought. The rest of the show was quite lame in comparison to other years, imho. |

You know, if it had rear suspension, mid mount controls, and some less ape-hangerish bars it would be a great little commuter,... and pretty much how it rolled off the factory floor, so I guess it's just not my cup-o-tea. It is a nice exercise of someone else's idea of what the Blast should be. |

Yeah, I did a double take when I first saw it. The Buell booth was pretty cool looking, kind of rustic corregated steel. Interesting was the folks staffing the booth. Some from Buell, lots from Harley. and more from local dealers (at least the were "Buell" folks) Not sure what to think of that. Some Buell expertise for the Buell folks, not so much for the HD type. Some that I talked to had never ridden a Buell! Others didn't ride much at all. However, they are getting exposed to a different type of customer. Maybe that will help in the long run. Lots of thoughts on this but I'm not sure this is the place to expound. Jon, I have to agree with you. The show was lame. Where the hell are all the vendors? Actually I talked to a few, the keep jacking the rates for booths and putting more and more restriction on them. No Byker Boyz "Stunta" booths this year as in years past. There are usually at least 3 of them. I'm not sure I'm going next year... Brad |

I just got out there today ad i thought it was a weak a$$ 13 dollar show, i did happen to get a free buell shirt thats cool. i did wish there was some cr-50 aftermarket pit bike vendors, as they are a blast to spend your time on, i have a heavily modded 110 4 speed. This show was not to squidy i did have to make it a point to listen in on the Hayabusa crowd, lol no one is more full of crap than these guys,,,, as a whole, on the average it seams. The buell scene was 6.5 out of a possible 10 decent... tractor.. cool in person, there were three "custom" buells that local dealers put on display for a vote for best booth. i thought my damn bike was cooler than these three examples. not to say they were crap, brad did you photo these? post em up if you got em. |

Sorry Blake, I didn't take many pictures. I should have taken some of the S1 that was there. Really nice. The Blast "motard" was also neat, I know that one goes like stink. Killer Battletrax bike. Brad |

I took a couple pics, but am technologically handicapped and can't figure out how to post them. Brad, I like you was very suprised at the lack of vendors. I went wanting to buy some cold weather gloves, but there was no way I was going to pay $180.00 for the Lee Parks ones. I'm sure they are great gloves, but Wow, expensive. I went on sat, The buell booth was nice and so were the people working it. The free shirt was great. I do wish the show had more bikes to see and more vendors. I think the show was on the lite side of shows in the past. No bmw. i would have liked to see some of the new line up. They are way to tall for me, but fun to see. I would have liked to buy a Buell sweatshirt. Not much for buell stuff for sale at the show. |

This year we chose to come over to MN instead of going to the Chicago show like normal. Too bad that we did as far as the show part of the trip. I was disappointed in the vendor area as I wanted to try on some Icon boots but yet found none. Buell's display was nice and was one of the busier booths. Lots of younger people looking at them so that is good hopefully for Buell. I did see a few custom bikes I had always wanted to see like the RSD Glory Stomper which was neat in person. Overall I was unimpressed but from what I have read from others on here that seems to be the norm with the IMS shows this year. The rest of our trip was great though other than the amazing amount of traffic congestion in the area. Closing a main highway interchange(35W) over the whole weekend to do work seems odd to me. I would think you would do that during the week. We will have to seriously think about whether we will be going to any of the shows next year. The Buell shirt was nice though as was the trials show. Those guys always impress. |

A lot of the vendors pulled out last minute. How did you like our trailer in front of the Buell both? Great exposure for us. |

Nguzzi Good placement but could have used a larger selection of Buell stuff but it was Sunday already when I was there. Wife bought a shirt from ya. Was also nice to see the "25 years of Buell" book for sale on your trailer. Court and Dave might have made another quarter... |

We are trying to get more product, but some of Buells vendors are suffering from the economic crisis. |
