I wasn't going to post 'cause I really don't have an opinion on it one way or the other, just wondering if it will have the PITA flashing headlight. I'm very mindful of bikes around me but when that is in my rearview it makes me want to run over them. Or pull over for an emergency vehicle. |

Truth is... if you are having the urge to "run over" the bike with the "PITA" flashing headlight, or find yourself starting to pull over for the "emergency vehicle"... then the safety device is doing its job! Anything that makes drivers see motorcycles is good- I know, I was taken out by an SUV who "didn't see me" (suffered eight fractures)... wish I had been using a headlight modulator that day! |

It's part of the reason I don't really pay much attention to the intensity of my HIDs. You have to see me to be pissed that my lights are bright. |

Did a motorcyclist just post on a motorcycle forum that they want to run over motorcyclists? I'm confused. |

I needed something today. "IDIOT" second in line to turn left at a light on the oncoming side, decided that there was no reason for the car in front of him to not be making the turn. "CLOWN" turned left in front of my 55 mph hiney. Good thing I'm older now, there was a day. Gotta love that big disc up front. I got to ride off into the sunset. |

I think you will all be surprised at how competetive it will be. Consistency wins championships and BMW are nothing if not consistent. |

From an article I read on the bike: "Still, I won't believe it's really here until I read Ben Roethlisberger crashed one." |

Motorcyclists? I thought those guys only ride BMWs and Goldwings. |

Back on topic, It sucks that they used the same-ole same-ole platform but it's really cool that there will be more competition now, not just the Big 4 + Ducati. Oh crap, I just realized, all the major players now come from Japan, Italy, and Germany! We need Triumph to build a superbike and join forces with Buell |

I would bet the Buell that only a hand handful of guys here have ridden an R1200S, that machine would make a believer out of some. |

I've ridden them quite a bit on the track and street. Owned one for a while. They will rock and roll ... and the braking is incredible(especially on the track). |

And the new HP2 Sport would really raise some eyebrows. Unfortunately, as good as that bike is, it is no where near competitive enough to run in WSBK. It is, however, better than 99% of the people who'll buy it in the dealerships... |

That HP2-Sport is a way cool bike and I would love to get one but the $29,000.00 price tag is just way out of my reach. If they ever go below $15,000.00 I will have one in my garage. I went to a BMW open house where they were having demo's. "I'm sorry sir, we don't have any in stock right now but if you were to order one..." |
