I don't have any inside info, but Buell has said that the 1125R is just the first model on this platform. Just wondering what the next model will be like, and when it will be announced? Dealers meeting? 25th Anniversary? Curious minds want to know!!

You're telling me - I love so much about the bike aside from the looks and gas mileage, lol. I would venture to guess that the next iteration will likely be a naked version, though I woudln't be surprised if a full-faired model was next in line instead. |

If the past is anything to judge by, I would definitely bet on a naked. There was a rumor of a 1125CR model appearing on the HD net. CR = Cafe Racer? Buell has never produced a fully faired street bike. Of course, they never did a watercooler before either!

Dont know anything on future models but for 2009 Harley had this to say recently: Due to 2008 model timing, Buell will not be producing 2009MY 1125R's for the U.S. market until September. |

Got me on that one. Not sure I would call a limited edition of 50 racing bikes a street bike, but it sure is "fully faired". I mean, that is REALLY fully faired. Erik has always had a flair for aerodynamics. |

I just hope the 08 won't be out dated by 09. Perfecting this model for 09 with tooling/procedures already in place would be my greatest wish...maybe even a discount to 08 registered owners willing to BUY possible upgrades???!!! hint, hint! But other models would be welcomed and I'm sure that is what we'll soon see. I already "heard" of a factory touring model of the 11...but please don't ask, just wait and see. Best wishes to Buell in this up and coming season from a business standpoint. Best wishes to current and future owners of the Buell product line as well! |

Hurry up 2009!!! Every-night when I lay me down to sleep, the last part of my prayers is ' Dear Lord ' please bring the next Rotax powered Buell to market as Full fairing sportbike without scoops, or a naked bike, without scoops, or a ST without scoops, or a Ulysses without scoops. In the name of the Father and the son and the holy spirit AMEN. |

I have heard, from reputable sources, that the Loki chassis has 3 models in the works right now; the 1125R, and then 2 more. All we can do is wait and see, which I know everyone on this board can do with one hand tied behind their back Chris |

...gosh, I feel so "Loki" to be a part of this all!...and that is typed with a by the way! ...Again...I JUST HOPE THAT BUELL DOESN'T TOTALLY REDESIGN THIS 08 EFFORT that many of us spent/spend serious coin on! Perfect THIS MODEL WHILE MOVING FORWARD. DO NOT REPLACE IT LIKE THE OTHER'S DO, EVERY/OR OTHER YEAR WITH A COMPLETE REDESIGN. Offer those upgrades to registered owners in the meantime. Am I alone here or what? I won't feel so loki if displaced by a seriously redesign model in 09 of my "new" 08 1125R. Just my cheap input...not even worth 2cents....which reminds me, are we gonna get a service manual before the 09 release? I mean, for the 08? Sorry. |

>>>are we gonna get a service manual before the 09 release? I mean, for the 08? Really ugly subject at the moment and if you want to make friends at Juneau tell them Court sent you to ask about the Service Manual. I'd like to see Dave Gess put in charge of it. Four chapters done . . . moving along and I will report the moment it is complete. I think you're going to be amazed in the future. There's a fascinating story about what's on the way. These are exciting times. |

I'd love to hear that story some time, Court. How about in the next five or ten minutes ? Or you could just email me if it's top secret. I know how to keep my mouth shut!!

I heard, from a reliable source, that they are going to build, on the 1125r platform, a pegasus themed bike with wings and all. Once you get above 90mph it lifts off the ground and you can fly around like a pretty butterfly. It's going to be a naked bike and anatomically correct so there is going to be some controversy I'm sure. Sorry, I couldn't resist I love the rumor mill... |

No, it was in a line with a couple others. Right by where Loretta got her PDI. Looked complete, didn't see any entrails... I was busy checking out the Electrical Diagnosis Manual, very nice. Brandon said he was buried, so I didn't stay long. He said he could flash my ECM, but I said I'd wait till things sorted out and he wasn't so busy. Z (Message edited by zac4mac on April 20, 2008) |

Both sound awesome! ... assuming the teething issues of the 1125R are addressed. Are these rumors that you have heard? Or is this information from a reliable source? |
