I wandered into my local aftermarket Harley shop and saw this cool chopped Buell. I thought it was really cool looking. Stones Motorcycle Company in Northboro, Mass. is the manufacturer of the frame. It holds the oil and uses the stock tuber swing arm and front end. What do you think?

Kinda got the Confederate look going, IMO. I prefer a Buell to that, but that's alot better than most customs. |

this aint the best place to get positive reactions to choppered tubers. there exists an almost religious zeal, which views such exercises as blasphemy. it does look very well done, however. for an idea of what type of project is highly revered, check out: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?47623/263887 |

I am not a fan of chopping Buells, but Stones does some fantastic work. If you look closely at his personal bike you will notice it is a four-cam big twin. It also has a unique front end of his own design. |

Cool toy, looks neat. Of course, nowhere nearly a practical as a real Buell. For example, what's the point of a 'chick magnet' when you can't even give somebody a ride? Defeats the (ulterior) purpose! |

I understand the anti chopper Buell issue but like 13 Choppers http://www.13choppers.com/ I like seeing what others will do with a perfectly good bike. I can't live with my XB12R alone and have a Street Bob for shorter rides when I want to ride slow and stop for coffee a lot. These weird chops are so unique that it makes all those chrome "real" choppers and my HD look lame. I wish I had the funds for a third bike. Actually 4th, nope 6th... Ya don't ask... It's a sickness. I guess if I crashed the old Thunderbolt and lost that beautiful S3 bodywork --- and --- had no budget --- I would find some similar random bike parts at Steele's Motorcycle Salvage. Then I'd finish it off with a couple cans of shake and rattle flat black -- NOT -- On a more serious note there is an S1 here in Denver that runs the Flat Black "rat rod" look with some great clip on bars and wrapped pipes -- gives it a very serious "lets get down to business"look which is very appealing. --- As Sly Stone once said -- "different strokes for different folks" |

While I'd never chop my M2 or S1, or sell them to someone who would, here's a custom using a Buell motor that is refreshing change of pace from the fat tired raked mutants hat all look alike:

Saw this one at the Denver Motorcycle Swap Meet -- two young brothers building some wild Sportsters -- They found this Buell in scary, sorry shape -- and made it scarier. They did all the paint, upholstery and welding and machining themselves.
