How sad. I just returned last night from a 1,200 mile round trip to Monahans, TX with a good friend to retrieve a new-to-him '97 Buell S3T, and today I find the thread here in turmoil. This kind of hateful derision and combative content takes ALL the fun out of the board for me. It gets me thinking of shutting the whole thing down. I simply don't want to be party to the propagation of such negativity and hate. Please stop it.
We used to have a topic just for flame wars. It was in the Quick Board, but drifted off into the archives. Anytime anyone feels like insulting, cussing, swearing, attacking others in online written combat please take it to the Curse and Rant, Bitch, Flame Away topic there. I'll not be visiting that topic, nor I guess will most others if they see it devolve into the kind of diatribe seen here. ANY other offensive posts ("offensive" meaning only that the contents of said posts offend me or any of the other board custodians) will be removed from public view.
If that makes this place unpalatable to you... if acting like or seeing others act like a hateful vulgar jackass is an important criteria in your choice of an online discussion board, then you won't want to continue participation here.

there's a bunch of people here who still like you and like having you around, and for some reason that i cannot fully explain it's a possibility that i might be one of those folks.
Whilst slightly redeeming Ferris, I believe you're often to quick to criticize in my case. Remember, you did it first a few months ago over at Sacborg. You were wrong then, as you later saw, and you're not always right here either but thanks for pointing out that some STILL like me. And why shouldn't they, I'd have to ask?
Anyway, I appreciate your somewhat tentative offer of friendship, but if you don't know yet, what should that make me think about you as my friend?
