How'd "the girl" do on her new Buell? Oops, she qualified 7th and lost in the second round with an .099 light to Matt Smith. |

The semi-final round had 2 Buells, 1 Harley, and a Suzuki. I would have to say that v-twins were pretty well represented. |

The NHRA has actually added weight to the twins to give the 4 cylinder bikes a fighting chance. The "Buells" resemble our bikes only in the decals though. They are running huge S&S engines. It's still nice to see the name out there, but I don't think you will hear BMC bragging about the results. H-D on the other hand brags about the pro stock "V-Rod" and it's engine is nothing like anything the motor company has ever built.....well, it does have two cylinders but that's where the similarity ends. It's all good fun for us twins freaks, seeing them whip the Kawasaki and Suzuki bunch! |

Did you catch Willie G congratulating Matt? Hines got his a$$ kicked out of the hole. |

I wonder how much faster the buells would be if the 1125 would have had a full fairing to copy? |

We had an Assistant Plant Manager get fired because he had a picture of his winning run showing the date, E.T. and trap speed riding his Buell hanging on his office wall. Turns out that he was on "Sick Leave" on the date of the picture. Wow, who knew your health could be hazardous to your job. |

I believe this is Matt G. of Rocklin, CA Harley Davidson-Buell where I bought my Buell and Sporty. It's a good place with good people. Hex |
