Performance Mods!: |
Don't Armor-All your seat. Learned that on a 150 Dream in 1965
|
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
One of the things I like about my Buell---Not having anything to write in this box. Gas, Oil, and GO.
|
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: |
Pulled the handle bar back toward the tank. (I'm 5' 3")
|
Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): |
(1) Rt 50 from Winchester, Va to Grafton, WV. (2) Rt 52 from Norton, WV to Coalton-Mabie-Cassidy to Helvecia to Buchannon back around Rt 15 to Rt 20 to Marlington. (3) Rt 250 from Luray, VA to Durbin, WV. (4) Rt 38 at Nestorville to Parsons, WV. (5) Rt 219 from Parsons, WV to Thomas to Davis. Rt 32 through Caanan Valley then Right onto Rt 72 back to Parsons.
|
Why I do/don't ride a Buell: |
Fantastic Engineering throughout the bike. The kind of engineering ideas that leave you saying, "Yes, that's exactly the way it should have been done."
|
How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
A kickstand that is deployable while still seated. An accessory seat (XB9S + XB9SL) with a wide upturned flair around the rear edge of the seat to provide more passenger sense-of-security of not slipping of the back of the seat. A Headlight articulation device that will elevate and oversteer the lightbeam in proporation to the fork steering angle. On low speed tight bend turns all I get is a hotspot on the road and can see nothing around the turns circumferance. I'm not talk'in Interstate, I'm talk'in about 2,3,4 or more tight S-turns in quick sucession in an unlit area and sometimes not even a line on the road.

Life History/Philosophy: |
Hillbilly born and raised. " Take Me Home Country Roads" on a Buell isn't music, it's Therapy. West Virginia's nickname is Little Switzerland and hope you will find out why.
|
Top speed on 2 wheels (mph): |
100
|
Preferred engine oil (brand/grade): |
Amsoil 20W50 Synthetic
