Az,
I recall the guy at the booth saying they go by different names sometimes due to some name confict with someone elses product.
Give them a call and see which one on the web is the Autobahn. I really liked that boot.
Neat display, had a boot sitting in water with a recirculating pump dumping water on the top. You could put your hand inside, it was totally dry.

I am seriously considering the Aerostich Combat Touring Boots (read convincing the wife to drop $200+ on a pair of boots ;^D ).

The one thing I like to spend money on are boots. I like boots that will last, and these fit the bill perfectly.

Have to give another vote for the Sidi On Roads. I have them and I really like them. I wish they had a little better air flow but other than that they are really comfy.

So I've been looking around for new boots as well and ran across these "River Road" boots w/laces and side zippers.

Anyone have any experience with this brand? It doesn't look like they have much of a web presence, or, at least, I couldn't find their site.

Red River 10" lace jump boot w/side zipper

One place I found to get them

Geof,
Those almost look like combat (tanker) boots. I've always worn combat boots (hush puppies, jungle, gortex, steel toe, issue, etc) for riding due to convenience. It's really hard to beat a boot designed for motorcycle riding.

Check out that same web page. They offer a motorcycle boot as well.

This place has pretty good prices and selection.

The owner answers the phone.
(I have found buying TWO pair of boots at a time, no matter where you buy them, & wearing them on alternate days yields much longer wear & less stinkfoot.) YMMV

I'm nearly sold on the Sidi "City" boots. They actually look sorta like what I'd guess Court's Gaerne's might have looked like long ago.

Anybody out there got a pair they'd like to talk about?

I've found a local dealer who stocks the Sidi City boots. If they fit right, I'll get a pair. I really love the way the Prexport 539's feel, but I can't afford to spend $200 every six months for boots. The pair I have now look like Court's Gaernes but they're less than a year old. Hopefully the Sidis will last longer and be as comfortable.

Mission accomplished. I rec'd my new Aerostich combat touring boots this morning, and am now wearing them at work. First thoughts…

They are tough and sturdy. Much more solid than any other boots I’ve had so far. But not uncomfortably so. I will be performing the quick break in this weekend (hot water and walk around until they dry.

They were a little tough to fit my pants over (straight cut jeans), but once done, they don’t look too different from engineering boots.

so far, I love ‘em

I ended up picking up the Sidi City boots from Motonation.com a few weeks ago, and am pretty happy with them.

They took a good week worth of all-day wear to break in, but now are all-day comfortable. They're sturdy, too, with armor in the toe, heal, shin, and outside ankle.

Words to the wise:
1. the goobers answering the phone at Motonation are *not* very knowledgeable. Nice enough guys, but I got a different story every time I called.
2. the City boots are sized way large. I normally wear a 10.5-11 US and ended up with what Motonation calls a US 9.5. The difference between the boots I'm wearing (euro size 44) and the next larger (euro size 45) was HUGE. The 45s were galoshes large while the 44's were snug (swapping out the innersole made them fit just right).

Geofg,

I have 9.5 Aerostich (made by SIDI) and they are running maybe a half size large, but the width is fine. I may end up putting inserts in them, but I need to break them in to see how they end up fitting my feet.
