Ordered some factory frame pucks and aerosol frame paint at the local Buell dealer.
Do you think the paint will stick to the plastic?
Haven't seen any in person so I have no idea.

Yes paint will stick, someone painted theirs yellow to match an XB9S. I tried it with mine and it's been good so far (2 weeks). Originally I planned on painting them white to match the bodywork of the 9R but the whites didn't match. I then painted a second coat over that with the Buell frame paint and it matches well. From a distance you can't even tell there are pucks on there.

I was the guy who painted his yellow, and it worked fine. I used Krylon Safety yellow, and it matched the yellow plastic very nicely. Paint them before mounting of course. I posted photos of them, but can't locate them using the search engine on this site.

Coldwthrrider,
Exactly what I want to do. This board is great for finding answers. The painted pucks look stock which is what Buell should make standard equipment anyway.
BTW, I was in the Twin Cities in July went by ST.Paul H D and tried to find a Buell tshirt. They didn't have any Buell apperal. Did they ever?
Thanks,
DBird

Yeah, this is the place for all the answers. I would not have bought a Buell if I hadn't found answers to my questions here.

SPHD is kinda weak on Buell stuff. They have some bikes, and a few guys who work there are hard core Buell riders. I've never seen any Buell apparel there, but I've heard off and on they've had a few shirts.
