CityX, I obviously don't know you, but I'll start with this: I think your second message where you actually started helping was much more consumer-friendly, and more likely to keep the bike sold. I understand I don't know all the details, but your first email is how my dealer approached me with some of my problems, and I will never ever spend another penny with them. By your third post, you've become someone I WISH my dealer employed, understanding that yes, Buell buyers do modify their bikes, and no, said modifications are not responsible for $hitty assembly/quality from the factory. That said, Floscaned, I'd probably try to communicate solely with CityX, and give him the room to actually try to help you. I mean, after all, he rides them AND sells them.... : ) BTW, CityX, can you read the thread on leaky rocker boxes and reply to my post? Thanks, and hope it works out Floscaned!!

My 02c,
I picked up my 07 built TT from the dealers with 8 miles on the clock & rode it home over 300 miles in heavy rain all the way, it never missed a beat.
Perhaps they prep them better for wet weather in the UK.

Throttle Position Sensor questions:

What kind of problems, if any, will the TPS being 4-5 degrees out of adjustment cause?

Will adjusting, (tighten or loosen) the throttle cables have an affect on TPS calibration?

Will rolling or twisting the throttle and not starting the engine effect TPS calibration?

Will rolling the throttle and immediately starting the engine effect TPS calibration?

Will rolling the throttle while starting the engine effect TPS calibration?

Mate, it's a new bike, it's under warranty, let the dealer have a chance to do what they're supposed to do.

If they can't give you satisfaction within a reasonable time frame, get on to Buell customer service, or find a dealer you're happy with.

The TT is a blinding bike, you obviously thought that when you put your dosh down on it, so stick with it, I think you'll find it's worth it.

Intermittent rough running is generally 1 of 2 things, either Electrical or fuel related.

Question, are you buying good gas? are you buying your gas at the same place every time? if you're putting crap fuel in, you'll get crap performance.
I'm told that some pumps in the US are multi-fuel with just the one pistol, you may have tanked just after somebody who took diesel for example & got some contaminated fuel.

Try & keep a cool head, & remember that nobody's trying to pisss you about, the dealer knows full well how reputations are made & broken. He's got no interest commercial or otherwise in leaving you a dissatisfied customer.
