I'm making a new exhaust for my XB9, and need the size of the XB12 collector where the muffler bolts on, in case I upgrade to the XB12 header later. Any help?

Collector outlet for the 12's is the same diameter and location as the 9's. The collector is twisted a little different, but the outlet angle and position ends up the same. The oil cooler lines are changed on the 12's (and all 04's) to clear the 12 header.

DUH!!!

Thanks for stating the obvious... I should've realized that they were the same since the Buell race muffler is the same for both the 9 and the 12.

Thanks again.

Are you SURE they're the same exhaust can? They have different part numbers.

Do ya think it's because there's more restriction? ie: more back pressure?

sounds crazy but it runs and idles lot better, ran without the air box on and never seen the motor pull the cable to the exhaust, when you take it out the engine red light comes on, when I get the race E C M they will tack care of it.
the bike rides different than the xb9 doe;s not like city traffic always on the clutch,
110 miles on the bike

I myself hate city traffic.

So I guess you'll have to come north to the mountains. You and your bike will love these roads!
