i know this has been posted a few times. but what are the best bar end mirrors (looks, sturdiness, price) and where to get them. pictures of your bar end mirrors would help alot.

I got mirrorcycle mirrors. Sorry I think that might be spelled differently, but already threw box away. Bought them at a bicycle store around $30 for the pair. Not perfect but alot better than buell mirrors. They come in 3 pieces so you have several options on how you can mount them.

CRG 2" Barends for me...used bicycle for a while, but had to adjust constantly for wind....CRGs are stable.

I just ordered some bicycle bar end mirrors, I'll let you know how they are after I get them... less than $20 shipped for the pair, I figured what the hell...

CRG, Oberon and the Napoleons are most popular. pricey but sturdy and well built.

i ran a mtb mirror for a while too due to price but as Stang37 stated, i was readjusting constantly from the wind blast. my Oberons don't move. ever.

I'm currently running some eBay specials on the Uly and they work fine. Had to replace the fastener bolt with a longer one so I could use the hand-guards.

The Napoleons IMHO are the best when it comes to functional mirrors.

CRG "lane split" mirrors are superb. never move OR vibrate at high speed. Try American Sport Bike for a great deal and the BEST service.

I think the Rizomas on Trojan's website are absolutely gorgeous (and they were the ones I was initially looking at) but the price is waaaaaaaay out of line. That's why I settled for the Napoleons. No complaints, they work great and look good too.

I have the Rizoma's and am very happy with them. Scroll about half the way down to the Orange CityX.

I have the CRG LS(lane split) mirrors...rock solid, hinged so they fold in when not needed. I love em...not the cheapest out there but they're worth the $

13 bucks at a local bicycle shop. Excellent quality and adjustability. I only used one of the included adjustment arms.

My cateye 3" barends arrived today when I was at work.. Very Cheesy plastic mirrors I threw them on but, have not ridden with them as it was 1:30am. 1st problem I have with them is they are plastic, 2nd problem is that my gloves rub them a little... well see how they perform on the road... I might machine a new bar end holder that will locate them off to the side like the CRG's. The bar ends mirrors would still only cost me under 20 but, take about an hour or so to program and CNC...but is $18 worth the trouble?

Another vote for the CRG's from American Sport Bike. Pricey, but well worth it...

Again CRG is the best! Get the LS and if you break the glass ever, it only costs $10.00 to fix it

One more criteria you might want to consider is actual on the road function. I couldn't use the CRG LS mirrors. I had a pair of bicycle mirrors like Reidmi75 when I got the bike, worked fine but I thought they kinda constricted my hands on the bars. I tried some stock mirrors, but they shook too much. Even though they are pricey, I switched to the Lane Splitters, they are pretty sharp and the workmanship is A-1. I liked the folding option, I could go in and out the entry door of the garage, didn't have to open the big door. They just have too much magnification for me. I never could adjust. It was pretty scary riding in traffic, as cars that look like they are way behind you by at least 50 yards are only a couple of lengths back and coming fast when you look over your shoulder. Sometimes they just seem to come out of nowhere. At night, little specks of headlights are a lot closer than they seem. Replacement lenses are available, but they only have their stock magnification and tint.
My CRGs are in a box now until I decide what to do with them. What seemed like a good idea is $180 worth of mirrors that I can't use.
I'm back with Mirrcycle mirrors now. I gave the original set to a buddy with a bicycle and had to order more that I got off ebay for $29 dollars for the pair shipped to my door. If you can't walk past your bike without banging the end of the bars (like me), they might move, but they never adjusted themselves on the road. Vibration-wise, they are just as good as CRGs and much better than the stalk mirrors. At least for me, they give a much more useful view of what's going on behind day and night.
I can't say that they are the best. They aren't cool guy, high zoot pieces, but I decided to go with something I knew that worked for me and I am satisfied. It only took me a year and a half and a couple hundred bucks and I am back where I started.

Just don't get caught in the rain!
Almost every time I ride in to work my bike gets rained on for a few minutes while I'm indoors... Hot days are almost always plagued by quick passing T-storms in the late afternoon/evening...

I have a set of these on the Blast and just bought another set for the XB9S:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem =&item=320129049823&rd=1,1

For $70, you can't go wrong. VERY high quality.

Or, you can buy the non-folding CRG's for $180 (two mirrors + two adapters)...

Wow.

I have NO idea why the links don't work. This board is extremely "different" than most board formats, to put it mildy...

How long does it take to get used to this here?? lol

Take off the "%20" on the end of the urls and it should work. (I: make sure they end in ".jpg")

Oh well. My personal goal here is to figure out where the "quote" icon is hiding before the end of the summer. :-p

====

edit: I fixed it...somehow.

%20 denotes the space "character". Maybe you have an unnecessary space somewhere in your link.

Those sure are nice mirrors!

No, actually that can't be since the %20" was added at the VERY end of the URL... (but thank you for informing me what that meant, as i did not know)

I can view the links everywhere else just fine. I do use Firefox, BTW, if that has anything to do with it.

I'm sure it's something I did wrong when posting the URLs here...

Here's a test:

http://www.zr2usa.com/BuellPics/?M=A

Anyway- yeah, the mirrors are pretty nice quality...and I'm known for buyin GOOD stuff (buying JUNK just to save a few bucks is beyond my comprehension).
