Hi everyone tony the the tiger has a new problem. The other day I got up bright and early to ride it to school, but when I turned it over it started up but was running really trough it was coughing and sputtering and after about 5 seconds it killed i tryed it again same thing. So i shut it off and drive my old truck to school instead. Oh and it was between 32 and 40 degrees. Next day i just left it, i was affraid to even try. so last sunday i tryed and it wouldn't start at all, i charged the battery, cleaned the spark plug and tested for a spark, made sure there was plenty of fuel, and some other stuff i can't even remember but I decided it had to be either fuel mixture or timing or something up with the carbs, but I really have no clue so now im here. Also about every 10th time i turn the thing over it starts rough for about a second then kills. and the day before it died i noticed an occational hiccup, but only every minute or so.

Check your intake boot!

Das Boot!

I mean you have checked everything else, spark, fuel...nothing else has changed...
Should be good to go

I had the exact same problem last week. Definitely sounds like the boot.

I'm pretty sure thats not it..because that happened once before the boot had popped off and all we did was tighten the hose clamps and thing thing started right up again..but to be sure i just ran out there tightened the clamps and it still doesn't go. but it's also about 34 degrees out so i'll probably wait till the weather warms a little before abusing it anymore.

Remove and inspect the boot. That's the only way I found out I had a huge tear in mine.

Basically, it reduced the vaccum in the carb, that pulls the fuel in with the air, when you get the gash, you get a super lean condition, because that air is bypassing the carb and entering the combustion chamber.
