Sparky... some variation of your suggestion MIGHT work for $$$

but...

NOT the TT plates! I can just see it now - if he wins, he's protested because the plates are non-homologated "streamlining."

our pal Dean over at Soup opines:

".....It's common knowledge that DMG officials have been trying to convince known good mechanics and crewchiefs including Melneciuc to join the [Erik] Buell [Racing] Superbike squad — ostensibly to help the Erik Buell [Racing] Superbike become more competitive. It's predicted that most of P1 Atlanta will join the [Erik] Buell [Racing] squad soon......"

I wish folks wouldn't post stuff from that jerk. John Ulrich and crew have more class and integrity in their little finger than that jerk.

Dean Adams is once again embarrassed by being scooped by RRW and so lies about and mis-characterizes the situation. Yeah, it's well known, on account of RRW reported the story. LOL!

Damn shame that success didn't breed sponsors. Yamaha had that same problem in MotoGP. Jorge Lorenzo won the World Championship in 2010, Yamaha won the Team and Constructor's titles for a clean sweep, and yet had NO major sponsors for 2011.

Meanwhile, Honda, who went from 2007 up till last year with nothing had no problems at all with sponsorship. What gives??

I'm sure EBR is grateful for the additional hands. Wonder what'll happen to Joey?

+1 Blake! The things that guy says are a source of amazement to me. Have been since Danny did that first race for Buell. Unbelievable. That said, I ain't going to his site to read anything he says.....Wouldn't want to give him any hits and his advertisers think he actually has credibility or a fan base....

RRW put it on their website at least an hour after I read it on SuperBikePlanet so RRW did not scoop him.

I have sent Dean an email asking who else is being steered to EBR. Let you know if I get a response.

Dean is an angry wanna-be in motorcycle circles.

Kid's play.

Like Tom Hewitt in 3rd grade when he'd piss his pants for attention . . folks watched for a minute, then went back to play with the "normal" kids.

Dean was anti Buell before Danny and the 1125. I started reading there forums when the XBRR came out and he was just as vehemently opposed to Buell then.

Dean Adams was slamming Buells long before the XBRR. I have never read a good word about Buells from the time I first discovered the site. It was called AMASuperbike.com back then.

It looks like mother nature does not like motorcycle roadracing, because the weather forecast for Atlanta for AMA,and Assen for WSBK is looking very, very, wet . I had looked at the Atlanta forecast last weekend, and it looked good, but then I looked at it again last night, and now it says rain today, then nice weather Thursday and Friday, but then Heavy rain for Saturday and Sunday . I hope the weather man is wrong again, but I watched the Weather channel this morning, and they said from 2 to 4 inches of rain from this weekend's storm . I feel bad for M1,because they have worked hard to promote this event, but Road Atlanta is iffy even in the dry, so in the wet they might have problems with some of the riders, about racing in the rain . I all ready bought my tickets for Infineon, and they do not race in the rain at Infineon, the races were cancelled because of rain in 2000,by the way Troy Bayliss was on pole that year, and in 2006 they moved up the schedule to try to avoid the rain, and got all the races in, except the 600 Supersport ,it was canceled after it started raining right after the 1st lap of the race.

Does a wet race just end up being a contest over who spent the most money on traction control systems? Or is the racer and motor still a factor?

As I recall, Geoff had his best finish on the 1125 in the rain.

for any disbelievers that Geoff can't ride in the rain. Kicking up spray and dirt tracking it in the turn of all places. WOW!

Looks like it may not rain in Atlanta after all, I wish I was a weatherman, because they seem to just geuss . Yesterday the forecast for Atlanta was 20%chance of rain on Friday, a 60% chance of rain on Saturday ,and a 70% chance of rain on Sunday, today the forecast is a 20% chance of rain for Friday,a 30% chance of rain on Saturday, and a 20% chance of rain on Sunday.

Great racing today! Damn shame Geoff couldn't put it on the box, but it was great (for me) to see the two Yamahas in the first two places. Hayes checked out, but the battle for second and third was FIERCE!!

It was a wonderful race to watch. I was surprised that Geoff M did as well as he did.He had incredibly consistent lap times and was in podium contention (sort of). Taking fourth at Miller is a bigger feat in my mind that 3rd at Infineon.

All in al, I really think EBR can go to RA ready to fight!

Great job EBR, Geoff and Slick

Court was right.

I need to rethink my portfolio.

This is gonna be a lot of fun.

Yamaha... Suzuki... EBR...

followed by BMW, KTM, and Kawasaki...

with no-shows by Honda, Ducati, and Aprilia

It's a shame that Ducati and Aprilia don't join the fun.

Judging by their pace in WSBK maybe it isn't a shame that they don't race in AMA after all ; ) I know the rules are different but I think they would give the Yamaha a run for its money with the right team and rider combo.
