SlimeyCrudRun can be a fun way to begin and end the season with, not that the season begins or ends then, but still..... Apart from that any ride where I don't have to be any particular place at any particular time or return by any specific time. With that format I can wander and meander and see what's to see. |

It's a ways from WI or IL, but Vermont Rt. 100 from the Mass. border to almost the Canadian border is one of the neatest and most fun rides you could take. I try to do it every summer. |

My favorite ride of the year is the toys for tots ride, yea its a parade, its always the first sunday in December, it always a little cold, but i just love it, last year the day started out about 13 degs, and there were 30 thousand bikers from all over chicago Its the one day of the year you can ride around chicago on anything and NOT get in trouble i have seen 50's, quads, very, very illegal scoots, and just about everything else Very slow, can even be a pain, but always fun R |

First two weeks in August with Dave. Never really know where we will end up, just get the map out every morning and pick a town or state. (Have to stay at hotels with internet and smoking to keep him happy!) |

I know it was a long time ago, but did anyone go to the Annual Memorial Day Charity Ride to Benefit the American Diabetes Association in Johnson Creek? How was it? |

I'm definitely not done exploring NB, NS & NL. (BTW, SignGuy, I think there is a Rt. 6 in there somewhere that was excellent!) Scenery and road(s) were great and people were unbelievably nice. Deals Gap - maybe. I been to D.C. and I was terrified in a truck. Like Boston, Chicago, NYC, and others, not within 50 miles on a bike if I can help it. I hear the Puffin hunting is good in July as well as August... Oz |

I am with Roger, I have done Newfoundland and need to explore my horizions. Personally I would love to ride as far a New Brunswick, cross over into Maine and head east towards the Buffalo area, go onto Detroit to see Spidey and the boys, head north and come back through the Michigan UP. |

Personally I would love to ride as far a New Brunswick, cross over into Maine and head east towards the Buffalo area, go onto Detroit to see Spidey and the boys, head north and come back through the Michigan UP. If that ride is anything like chicago - port guron-london-montreal its boring, and i mean boring in a good kinda way, its different than what i am used to but boring none the less, glad i was with people cause i think i would have gone nuts otherwise So is that 2 i hear for deals gap(ozz and newfie) anyone else interested, i mean its easy ride from chicago, we could make it in 2 days so we could se stuff along the way(indy speed way) take secondary roads( i know a semi great road throught in/Tn, and a great camp site in IN, around 1/2 way, make it a fun ride, different groups for different paces Theres camping at deals gap, hotels, cabins plus plenty to do fro the family, if you were inclined to bring them, which i wouldnt Something to think about or let m know what you think R |

I was planning on a Deal's Gap ride when I thought that the Newfie ride wasn't going to happen. I'm up in the air as to where to go next summer. Since I got to ride thru Colorado on my way back from Phoenix I guess it wouldn't kill me not to go there next year. I figure I'll just wait until guys start firming up what they want to do. Bill-I may just bring the family up there again if the finances can handle it. |

The roads suck, but, my Dad , brother, and a buddy of mine ride down to bike week every year. Its good fun - even if the roads suck. For anyone who's considering a trip to the east tn/west nc trips, might I recommend picking upa copy of the Apalacha Mad Map. It proved it merit to me this past summer, over the 4th of july week My wife/brother and myself took a trip from Burlington NC to my home in Tn and were on the death slab for all of 20 miles. Most excellent riding on that map. As a bonus with the Mad Map, my house in Cookeville is right between two routes ! |
